We sat and ate Henry's chocolate waiting for someone to rescue us
"Do you hear that?" Asked Archie
"It's Pongo!" I said hearing his bark. We followed it as far as we could
"It's loudest here" Said Archie
"What is that?" Henry asked
"It looks like an elevator" Said Archie
"Its to get the mine workers in and out. It goes all the way to the top. Thats why we could hear Pongo" I said
"Can we make it work?" Asked Henry. Archie tried to turn the wheel. It moved a little, he went to do it again but a loud bang went off and it fell back down.
"Im really really, really sorry" Said Henry
"Its alright" Said me and Archie at the same time
"I just wanted to find proof" He replied
"You know, its really alright, Henry. And um, um, Im sorry, too. Look, I I dont think youre crazy. I-I just I just think you got a very strong mother, whos got a clear idea of a path that she wants you to be on and when you step off that she She gets scared. And, you know, its natural. But its also natural for you to be able to be free to think the things that you want to think. So, anyway. I I didnt mean those things I said and I never should have said them" Said Archie
"Then, why did you?" Henry asked
"I guess Im just not a very good person. Im not the man I want to be" He replied
"I think you can be him. I think you can be a good person. I mean, youre Jiminy Cricket" Said Henry
"Henry. Henry, Jiminy Cricket was a He was a cricket, okay? And he was a conscious. And And I hardly think thats me" Said Archie
"But before he was that, he was a guy who took a long time to figure out the right thing to do" I said
"That kind of sounds like me" Said Archie
"Now its harder for you because of the curse. To hear the voice inside of you. To be who you want to be" Said Henry
"Who is Hope then?" He asked
"I'm not in the book" I said
"She's different. She's from the future" He said
"Really?" Archie asked
"I am Emma's future daughter. I'm supposed to help Henry get Emma to break the curse" I told him
"How are you in the past then?" He asked
"There's magic" Said Henry
"The theory is that I am Henry's younger sister who isn't born yet. I was kidnapped for some reason by someone and brought through a time portal back here. Regina brought me here because she wants me to destroy Henry's belief so the curse can't be broken. I also have dreams that see the past and future" I told him
"I don't think your doing a great job for Regina" Laughed Archie
"Because she's a good guy, she's a hero... she's kind of like a double agent" Said Henry
"Hey, can I ask you again? Why do you think its so important that youryour fairy tale theory is true?" Archie asked
"I dont know" Henry replied
"Give it a shot" Said Archie
"Cause this cant be all there is" Said Henry "I thought if I found proof But I didnt find anything"
"Well, thats not true. I was lost and you found me, right?" Said Archie
"You mean, you remember?" Henry asked getting his hopes up
"No, Henry. I I dont remember, but I-I do remember the kind of person I want to be. I just got to listen harder" Said Archie. The lift dropped a bit more, but there was something coming towards us, a bright light
"Wh-whats that?" Henry asked
"I think thats the rescue" Said Archie
"Hang on, I'm coming to get you guys" Said Emma. She landed on the roof of the lift and Archie helped Henry up. Emma grabbed onto him and I climbed up. She had a loop to go round my waist. Suddenly the lift started to shake, it was going to fall
"Archie! Im sorry!" Said Emma
"Its okay!" He replied
"Archie!" We all yelled as the lift plummeted to the ground. Archie somehow had looped his umbrella to a clip on Emma's harness and was hanging on it. He was ok! Emma radioed for another rope and soon we were all being pulled up. Regina came running to Henry and hugged him, Emma tried to check he was ok but Regina pushed her away
"Deputy, you can clear the crowd away" She said pushing Emma's hands off Henry. Regina ignored me. I walked over to Ruby who was with Pong and she wrapped her arms around my neck.
"Hey are you ok?" She asked
"Yeah! But being trapped down there about to drop to my death made me think!" I said
"About what?" She asked
"I don't know what your preference is, of if you like me the way I like you. I mean you could or you probably don't, but you know I'm going to ask anyway_" I said before she put her hand on my cheek to stop me rambling
"Are you trying to ask me out on a date?" She asked
"Yeah I am" I said laughing
"I'd love to" She said
"Great. Um, tomorrow night? 8 o'clock?" I asked
"Perfect" She replied. For the rest of the night, everyone sat under the stars talking and hugging.
"Well, come on. Your mom wants to take you home" Said Emma when it started getting late
"Hey! Listen." Said Henry. Everyone was quiet
"Crickets" Said Archie
"Theyre back. Things are changing" Said Henry looking at Emma and then smiling back at me.
