[The scene opens with a birds-eye view of Bellwood.]

Dax (Narrating): Bellwood. A shining example of human achievement. This is where we made our final stand against Vilgax and his army of supervillains, born in the fire pits of a distant world.
[The birds-eye view shifts to show Metropolis skyscrapers ravaged by battle. Flames lick out of many a charred building.]
Dax (Narrating): But what seemed like victory was only the beginning…
[The skyshot zooms into two figures hovering in mid-air. Superman is holding the considerably larger Vilgax by the throat.]
Dax: It's over, Vilgax.

Vilgax: Don't be so sure, Kryptonian.
[Dax punches Vilgax, who falls back to the ground. He lands in an abandoned war-torn road, tearing a gigantic hole in the middle of it with a large explosion. Seemingly satisfied that Darkseid is out for the count, Dax glides back down to earth. As he lands next to the hole, a Edwin Black walks to the other side.]

Edwin: Took you long enough.
Dax: Black...
[Dax glides over the hole as he continues speaking, landing next to Edwin.]
Dax: You threatened the safety of Earth for your own personal gain. You allied yourself with Vilgax.
[A purple flash interrupts their argument. Both Dax and Edwin turn to see Vikgax struggling out of the hole in the road, a boom tube opening up before him.]
Vilgax: This isn't over, Tennyson.
Dax: Don't be so sure.
[Dax blasts Vikgax with his heat-vision ray. As Vilgax yells out in pain, the boom tube becomes visibly distorted as well.]
Vilgax: Insolent fool! You're destabilising the boom tube!
[A red-yellow outline surrounds the purple boom tube as Dax finally lets up on his heat ray. Vilgax, caught in the destablising boom tube and unable to escape, is consumed by yellow light. With one final scream, he disappears along with the tube, which implodes into itself and then disperses in a gigantic yellow flash. The resultant shockwave sends a battered car tumbling along the street which narrowly misses crushing Edwin, who dives to the ground. Dax continues to look at where the boom tube disappeared while Edwin picks himself up.]
Dax: (to Edwin Black) You're going to jail, but this time you'll be someplace much more secure than Osaka Prison Tower.
[Dax takes a hold of Black by his arm.]
Edwin: What?
[Dax turns into a bird wyvern and flies off with Black in tow.]
