Pairing: angus macgyver x Reader
Summary: being on a mission with Mac and revealing a secret that frightened you more than you thought possible

"Remind me again how you managed to talk me into this." You groaned as you hid behind a wall with Mac to get away from the bad guys. They had been chasing you for a while but you had finally managed to find a hiding place that allowed you enough time to think about your next move, or rather Mac had time to think about your next move while you tried not to kill him.

Mac smirked, "You love me."

You rolled your eyes, "You, Macgyver, are a pain in my ass and when we get home, you can sleep on the couch for talking me into this." You knew you were overreacting but you hated knowing how dangerous your job could be sometimes because that meant you could lose the love of your life at any given moment.

"You wouldn't." Mac gasped. He knew you wouldn't but that didn't mean he wasn't a little worried about your attitude towards the mission.

You glared at him, "I would. You are so reckless sometimes, I mean do you even think about what's going on around when you make one of your gadgets. You-" You didn't have the chance to continue as you heard the footsteps of the bad guys gaining on you.

"What are you going to do?"

"Give me a second, I am trying to think."

"Well could you hurry up and think." You snapped.

Mac put down what he was holding, "Okay, what is going on? You've been snapping at me at every given turn, you don't joke around with the team like you always do and you refuse to let me hold you. What is going on?"

You exhaled, "Nothing."

"Bullshit."

"I can't tell you." You replied, unable to look him in the eye.

He walked over to you, standing right in front of you, "I love you. You know you can tell me anything. I'm worried about you, please talk to me."

"I'm pregnant." You softly spoke. You knew he had heard you because he took a step back in shock. He had no idea who to react to the news. You both talked about having children and agreed to wait until you were ready or your job was able to give you some stability.

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked softly.

The tears began to gather in your eyes, "I was scared, I am scared. I don't know if I can do this and I didn't want to get your hopes up if I wasn't pregnant. We have barely talked about having kids and I wasn't sure what to say."

Sure he was having a hard time processing the news but he loved you and he wanted a family with you and he knew he had to make sure you knew it, "I love you and not matter what happens I'm not going anywhere. I want this with you."

"You mean that?" You asked hopeful.

Mac smiled softly, "I've never been more sure of anything but we should probably get back to the mission before they find us."

Your eyes widen, having completely forgot about the mission, "Yeah, I guess we should. I love you."

"I love you too, more than you know."
