There comes a moment in life
When you realize
That not everything is perfect.
Not everyone is perfect.
Give a second chance,
A third,
A fourth,
Perhaps even a fifth.
It doesn't seem to matter
As long as they're there.
And that really is all that matters,
Isn't it?
Do everything you can
To make them see
How much you care
and crave their attention.
Then leave it alone.
It's up to them now.
Nothing is wrong now.
And if it is,
Ignore the feeling.
You should be happy
To have gotten that time with them.
And you are.
