~Irene's POV~
"How is that possible, Hurley?" I asked, my hands flying in every direction, showing clear signs of desperation, frustration and fear. "If there is one thing we know is that they were in the WICKED's headquarter. So why in the world were there no traces of them?"
"I don't know" Stan sighed from his seat. He had just came back from the rescue mission without any teenagers. They had successfully entered the building with the code to the security system Alby had given us and had either killed or arrested the people inside it but as they searched the building they came to the realisation that they were no signs of the missing teenagers nor were there traces of Mitch and Thea.
Seeing this, Stan had immediately came back here with an immense feeling of failure that he had never felt before and I had never seen until today. But as I watched the man sulk in his seat a realisation came upon me.
"Where are the rest of our agents?" I asked with a deep frown and he looked back up at me.
"What do you mean, where are they?" He said. "They didn't came back yet?"
"No, only the first half of them came back with you" I replied, looking around to see if I could spot any of them. "Call them immediately" I ordered and he fished his phone that was inside his jeans pocket before dialing his agents. He talked on the phone for over five minutes, before he looked at me with wide eyes.
"They found them" He said in a quiet voice, shocked. "They were about to leave but they heard a gunshot from inside the building which wasn't normal since there was no one left inside when we left the area. They went inside to check and they were all there, they took them to the van and they are driving back here with everyone." He explained and I thought I was going to faint from how many emotions I was feeling right at this moment.
"When are they arriving?" I asked and he stood up, putting his phone back in his pocket.
"They said they were only two minutes away." He announced and I smiled widely for the first time in nearly two months. "Let's go" He said and with that we went down to the ground floor before running to the underground parking lot using the staircase since the elevator didn't go this far and as Stan pushed the door to the parking lot opened the van arrived and parked just in front of us.
The doors to the vehicule opened and a bunch of teenagers were revealed. They were all looking at us with wariness in their eyes which was understandable but we smiled at them and welcomed them. They seemed a bit more at ease and slowly started to get out of the van and stood on the side quietly, staying close together before we all jumped in a startle when we heard a loud scream.
"Uncle Stan, Auntie Irene" I snapped my head to the direction of the voice to see the little girl I had wanted to see so badly for so long.
Thea.
She had the biggest smile on her face and ran to us instantly. Stan and I both crouched down and she jumped on us, giggling and hugging us tightly as she told us how much she missed us.
"Daddy" She called, turning around and searching everywhere. "Look they are here"
"He's asleep in the car" A boy informed before another blond boy turned to the car and went back inside to wake him up.
~No One's POV~
(A/n: I'm going to address Thomas as Mitch again from now on)
Newt smiled and climbed back inside the car, sitting in the empty seat next to Mitch who was sound asleep, his head resting against the window. The blond had been the first one to enter the van and had been forced to sit at the very back and cursed himself for not having waited for Mitch. He could have sat next to him for the whole ride, instead of that, he had left the other boy alone the whole time.
