I stared at the picture as I thought that over. "Cool. Am I going to stay with him?"

Hel nodded, "Yes, he offered to take you in. He lives in Nebraska." (A/N: he actually does I checked)

"Ok, wait!" I said just before Hades was going to zap me out of the underworld. "You never told me his name."

"Keith," He replied, "Keith Kogane." Then he snapped his fingers, and I was in the middle of the desert.

I scanned my surroundings, the first thing I noticed was that I wasn't wearing armour anymore. I was wearing white Adidas shoes and navy blue track pants. I had a black leather jacket and black ray bans hanging from the neck of a plain white t-shirt. As I looked around again, I groaned. I was literally in the middle of nowhere.

Line Break

I ran around the desert mindlessly for about twenty, looking for the house. It didn't take long, it's in the middle of the desert, you can't miss it. Plus, you can cover a lot of ground with super speed. I wasn't dealing paying attention to how fast I was running, maybe around Mach Three.

I stopped on the dirt in front of the small house, sliding a bit as I did do. Well, it wasn't really a house. It was more of a shack. Argh! Stupid ADHD! I noticed the cool-looking red and white hoverbike outside. I walked over to it.

At least, it must have been cool looking at one point or another, but it was pretty banged up. Immediately my engineer brain started thinking about how I could fix it and make it better than it ever was. I ran my hand on the side of the bike as my mind went over the possibilities. I mean, all I would really have to do is get the dents out of the metal, repair the engine,  incre- "Hey!" a voice called, disrupting me from my planning.

My head snapped towards the voice. I saw the boy Hades told me about walking over. Keith, he said his name was. "Oh, sorry. I just like your bike." I extended my hand for him to shake, "I'm Percy, by the way."

His eyes widened, "oh, you're the guy Lord Hades told me about. Son of Zoran, right? The Speedster?"

I rubbed the back of my neck and nodded. "Yeah, I'm sorry, I should have knocked, I do like your bike though."

He shrugged, "it was my dad's, I've been trying to get it to work, but, it just won't run."

I smiled, "I'll be happy to lend you a hand."

He gave a weak smile, but I could see the excitement in his eyes at the idea. "C'mon, I'll show you around."

"you're Keith I'm guessing?" I asked, to which the boy replied with a simple 'yeah'. "You know Keith? I think this is going to be the beginning of a wonderful friendship."

Line Break

"You have a rather... simple, abode." I pointed out as we walked inside.

Keith smirked, "I keep most of my stuff in the basement. It's much bigger down there. I like it."

I laughed, "that's fitting, coming from a descendant of an underworld god." Keith seemed to realize that for the first time and laughed with me. "So, how long have you been of your own?" I asked him.

He looked down. "Normally that's something I would keep to myself, but you're going to find out eventually so.. I've been on my own for about a year now. Until then, I had my dad with me. But, there was a fire... he didn't make it out. So, after that, I joined the Garrison, which from what I understand you were told about?" I nodded, "Yeah, and I was expelled about two or three months ago." He was still looking down, and I felt bad, knowing his question had inflicted that mood on him.

"My step-dad was abusive," I said out of the blue, and Keith looked up, shocked.

"What?!" I nodded sadly.

"Yeah, he would drink a lot, and he would take his frustrations out on me." I lifted my shirt, showing the scars on my stomach. There were tons of them.

"I guess both of our lives are pretty fucked up huh?" Keith said.

"And all of our fellow demigods would agree." I replied, "depressing thoughts away, wanna finish the tour?"

"Sure, the stairs are over here." He said and he showed me to the stairs. Compared to the rest of the house, the basement was HUGE. Just not huge in the way you would think. It was about 4 times as much space as the upstairs floor, but almost half of the space was taken up by various items. Noticing my expression, the Legacy said, "What do you think?"

"Dude!" I exclaimed, "You're like Batman in a way." There were shelves on the walls, most of which had books on them, but some had cups or mugs. There was a bed in the corner, which was relatively made. There was a door at the other end of the room, probably a closet. There was a guitar on a stand in another corner, and that was pretty much it. Aside from another couch.

Keith chuckled, "I guess you're right if you go by size alone, but the thing is, I don't have another bed, so..."

"So, I have to sleep on one of the couches." I finished for him, "it's fine, it wouldn't be the worst conditions I've had to live with."

Time Skip 2 months

I was outside the shack with Keith, working on fixing his bike when it happened. OK, ok, let's backtrack.

I was warping the frame with a magnet to get the dents out when out of nowhere, my head started pounding. "Ugh," I groaned out, clutching my head. I stumbled over and sat on the steps of the shack.

"You good?" Keith asked, "Percy? Percy, Percy! Per-" suddenly I was somewhere else.

I was standing on a mountain, the clouds just a few feet above me. Off to the side, a blonde girl was chained to the ground. Next to the girl was an unconscious satyr, and behind them, A man was fighting against a teenage girl, spear against sword. The girl seemed to be winning, but it was close.

Next, there was an auburn-haired girl, maybe twelve years old, fighting a man in his mid-thirties. The girl, whom I now recognized as Artemis, goddess of the hunt, sent a pointed look towards a dark-haired boy, who was carrying an invisible weight. He looked up, his face was scraped and matted with dirt and grime, but I knew who it was. It was me.

Vision-Me was looking at a different girl with an expectant look that said, 'last chance'. This girl had been knocked aside and was clearly gravely injured, but she was still conscious. Her eyes were set with determination. She held up two fingers in a peace sign. Vision-Me nodded and closed his eyes. Time slowed down and-

"Percy!" Keith shouted, I gasped and stood with a start. I looked around, breathing fast. "Percy! Slow down, what just happened."

Slowing my breathing, I explained the vision to the legacy. "I hate cliffhangers." Keith grumbled, "was it a flashback?"

I shook my head, "if it was a memory then I would have known who the people were. This was different. I think... it was a vision, more-like. A glimpse of the future. Must have something to do with my dad being a time god."

"Alright," Keith started, "I guess we'll have to watch out for these 'flashforwards' then."

"Yeah," I said, "I guess you're right." As we got back to working on the bike, I couldn't help but wonder what that vision meant, and who the people were.

So that's chapter two of Speed Demons, and I guess you can see where I'm going with this. Don't worry, Klance will be a thing, as anything short of that would be... treason.
