"Uhm.. by the way, thanks" I mumbled, tapping his knee with my hand to get his attention. His knee jumped slightly, and he closed his legs together slightly. Oop.. maybe I shouldn't have done that. He'll probably yell at me now.

He cleared his throat and waved his hand dismissively, placing his coffee mug on the table as well. "How'd you end up with that hoodlum anyhow?" I sighed and shook my head. I knew this conversation was coming up.

"The classic 'Blinded-by-Love' scenario.. I'm not proud of it, believe me" I scoffed and crossed my arms, leaning back into the couch glumly. I was waiting for his snarky remark of judgment towards my love life but..

"Ah.. we've all been there before. Don't let it get to you"

I stumbled over my words and looked at him shocked. He glanced over, double-taking when he realized I was staring at him. "What..?"

I smiled and nudged his shoulder. "Aw, come on now! Don't tell me you're getting soft on me just after one measly dinner, Aizawa" I laughed and finally decided to take a nice drink of the hot coffee, not wanting it to get cold.

"Am not!" He pouted and scoffed, crossing his arms mumbling incoherent things under his breath. He's such a kid.

"Well... in all seriousness..." I began, wrapping my hands around the warm mug, purring at the feeling. "I really am grateful you handled that situation.. I wouldn't have known what to do. I probably would have let Amari do their way with me"

"But, you're a hero-"

"I know! I basically am.. and I should know how to handle these things because I do it everyday helping others in worse situations.... but Amari.. has a way with their words that just..."

"I get it. It's okay, you don't need to force yourself" He whispered, patting my back once my voice cracked. I lightly tapped my cheeks, forcing myself not to cry. I sighed and placed my cup down again.

"Anyway.. thanks Aizawa. For the most part, I had a really great time, and I'm sorry again for judging you too quickly" I smiled, facing him to place a hand on his shoulder.

"You're an amazing person, and I hope we can be better of friends"

He chuckled under his breath softly and tapped my hand in acceptance. He seemed to be quiet, almost as if he were thinking but I brushed it off and decided maybe it was time to go.

"You know.. there's one more thing you can do, and I will accept your apology. No more funny business" He smirked and grasped my hand in both of his firmly. I jumped at the sudden confrontation and scowled. After all my money I spent on him, he's expecting more from me? What is it now?? He wants me to pay for the damn coffee that HE offered me??

"What?? But it's late and we-"

The way he was staring at me made me stop mid sentence. "Ugh, fine. What is it.." I mumbled angrily, yanking my hand away from him.

He leaned back, biting the inside of his cheek, almost debating whether to ask me.

"Can you... uhm.. yanno.." He started to twiddle with his fingers. What?

I clicked my tongue with impatience and glared at him, signaling to hurry up and just ask me. "Can I hold you?"

"Excuse me..?" I gave him a weird look, and slightly shuffled away from him on the couch.

"Yanno... can you change into a cat... and Can I-"

I laughed and pushed him backwards playfully. "Are you serious?"

"No need to laugh at me" He grumbled and waited patiently for my answer. I rolled my eyes and gave in. "Sure, whatever" I laughed and walked towards to hallway.

He brightened up at my answer but pouted at me walking away. "Where're you going??"

"I have to get undressed to shift, remember?"

I can hear him mumble an "oh.. right" as I went into the bathroom, leaving it cracked open slightly so I can get out when I change.

After shifting and leaving my clothes in a neat pile on the sink, I shuffled out of the restroom and pranced towards him. Meowing at him to get his attention he jumped and wriggled his fingers in excitement. I would have rolled my eyes if I could.

He patted his lap, signaling for me to hop in. Hesitantly walking up closer to him, I finally decided to hop onto the couch and crawl in his lap. He immediately pet my fur so gently, it actually felt pretty nice.

Letting out a soft purr, I allowed him to caress me until I slowly fell asleep without realizing it. What a dorky gentleman.
