Ready to take off, I extended my wings. One of the lights went out. The crowd went quiet. It was like my heart was in my ear. I could hear it loud and clear. Possibly the adrenaline that already started doing its job. The second one went out, I squatted slightly, ready for it. C'mon. Concentrate. The third one went out, and Midnight yelled "Start!" And immediatly, everyone started running forwards. I heard that Present Mic and both Aizawa were commenting, but I completely locked them out.
I launched myself in the air, as I flapped my wings in one movement, gaining the first place in a matter of seconds. I even knocked some students over with my wings. Oops... I see.
Everyone started pushing each other, and it was way too narrow. Everyone wanted to be at the front, so they were pretty much stuck. From the start, it's already the first sifting.
I was out of the tunnel in a matter of seconds, but then I heard the familiar 'sssshling'. Meaning Todoroki was not too far behind me. Smiling slightly, I looked back as he looked at me, smirking slightly. Seeing how he succesfully froze some students to his ice, and even if he missed some, they were only able to go over it slowly.
"Sorry." He said as ran forwards, still spreading the ice.
I heard some yells in agony, pain and annoyance, as everyone was struggling with Todoroki's ice.
But soon enough, I heard explosions, and the familiar laser sound. Looking back again, I saw Bakugo, Kirishima, Yaoyorozu and Aoyama making their way over easily. As expected.
"Naïve, Todoroki!" I heard Yaoyorozu call, as Todoroki looked back at her, unimpressed.
Nothing naïve about this. They didn't say we weren't allowed to use our Quirks.
"I won't let you get away so easily, you half-and-half bastards!" I heard Bakugo call as he blasted himself forwards even faster. Increasing my spead, I fired some fire out of my right foot, as I used it as an engine. The training did indeed come in handy for this.
"More people outside of Class A were able to dodge that then I expected...", I heard Todoroki call behind me, as he increased his speed as well. But soon we heard those 'boing' sounds, meaning Mineta was coming. So that pervert found a way, huh?
"I've outwitted you, Todoroki, (Y/N)! How pathetic! Take this! My special attack!" he called out, as both me and Todoroki looked back, awaiting his move.
