Random Draft I Wrote Part 2

Hey guys! This is important so please read this. I will not be posting for a couple weeks. I am going to see my dad(in like an hour I'll be on my way to the airport). I haven't seen him in over a year because of covid but we decided I was going to go down now. I probably won't be able to write while I'm there, so don't expect anything from me for a few weeks. I'm sorry!

"I know, you think I'm evil. Not all magic is evil, Arthur. All of the sorcerers who attack Camelot do it to avenge their family and friends. They were never truly evil. They, like your father, were blinded and driven by hatred. Why do you think Morgana fights against us?" Merlin asked rhetorically.

"Because magic corrupts! You've betrayed me!" Arthur spat.

"What do you mean it corrupts? It corrupts?! Oh, yeah, I see," Merlin cried angrily. He stood up and marched over to Arthur. "You don't have the right to say that I betrayed you! I have done nothing but protect your royal arse since I arrived in Camelot! I have been poisoned, kidnapped, pelted with fruit, tortured, mind controlled, stinged by a serket! I worked my ass off to keep you safe, all the while doing chores for you! And you dare say I betrayed you?! It is my destiny, Arthur Pendragon, to protect you! You're supposed to be the once and future king who will unite the lands of Albion! This isn't the Arthur I knew would do that! This is the Arthur I met when I first arrived in Camelot! You were the one corrupted, not me! How dare you say that, Pendragon?!" Merlin ranted, the knights could practically taste the poison dripping from Arthur's surname. With an angry wave of his hand, the knights were no longer immobilized, though they still sat frozen there looking like they'd all been smacked in the face. Well, all except for Gwaine of course. None of them noticed the huge, golden dragon chuckling in the background.

"Merlin, mate, we've got pranks to plan!" Gwaine cheers, throwing an arm around Merlin's shoulder. Percival is snapped out of his daze at seeing the way his (boy)friend was acting towards Merlin.

"No, I think you should tell us about your magic," Percival disagrees as he stands up.

"I think you should give Merlin a moment to cool off," Lancelot scolds gently, pulling Merlin away from the two. "I'm sure he's grateful for your acceptance, but in about 10 seconds he's going to realize who he just yelled at." Lancelot held up the numbers on his hand. 6...5...4...3...2...1. Right as he got to 1, Merlin gasped.

"Oh my gods! I just yelled at Arthur! Do you think he's mad at me? I hope I don't get fired! And with my magic too! I'll surely be banished at best-"

"Merlin," Arthur interrupted, "I was wrong to say that to you, you had every right to yell at me. I'm not mad anymore...Maybe a bit hurt with all of the lies, but it's understandable...And you're right, you are fired." Everyone gasped.

"What do you think you're doing?!" Gwaine demanded angrily. Arthur held up a hand.

"You'll be hired as the new court...Warlock, was it?" Arthur asked, confused. Merlin jumped on Arthur with a big grin, hugging him tightly.

"Oh, thank you, Arthur! Thank you!" He cheered. Arthur patted his back with a fond smile.

"Alright, well, if that's all I'll be heading back now," Kilgharrah spoke up. Everyone but Merlin and Lancelot jumped, seeing as they all forgot he was there.

"Wait, they have to meet you properly!" Merlin said. His eyes turned gold and a whole bunch of sticks flew into a circle of rocks and lit on fire. He beckoned the knights over to sit around the fire with him. They all sat down with happy smiles. Merlin grinned back at them.

"So? Tell us about your dragon friend," Elyan spoke.

"Alright everyone, this is Kilgharrah..."

And so the warlock and the king sat by the fire with the knights of the round table and a dragon, all smiling as they learned more about their friend. Albion was coming early.

I hope you guys enjoyed this, I know it was a bit short. Maybe I'll try to make a story for St. Patrick's Day(I don't know why but it's always been one of my favorite holidays). I have a few ideas...
