It's already 6:30 pm and some of my work mates are already preparing to leave. Yung iba may pupuntahan kasama yung group of friends nila and se are just too tired to even move an inch.

But the only thing that I've been wondering is kung bakit walang sumundo sakin na secretary. Prank call lang ba 'yon? Pero feel ko hindi eh. Should I go home now? That's just a prank call probably. There's no way the president wants to meet me that fast.

Inayos ko na muna yung kalat ko bago napagpasyahang tumayo. 7 pm na kaya pwede na akong umuwi. I don't really think na to too yung tumawag kahapon. Baka kapag naghintay ako dito, mapahiya pa ako.

I was already walking in the hallway when someone called me.

"Excuse me Miss Valeria!"

I quickly turned around to see who called me. Legit yung kaba ko kasi akala ko talaga yung secretary na ang tumawag but no.

"Sir Alex. Good evening po." I politely greeted.

Wala na akong pag asa. Sana naman to too talaga yung nakausap ko kahapon. Edi sana, promoted na ako. Gusto ko umiyak taena.

"Good thing I saw you here. I actually wanted to have a little welcome party for you since we often do that here but hindi na kita naabutan kahapon. It was delayed but I wanted to ask you today if you're free so we can celebrate." He casually said.

I guess normal lang talaga na nagpapawelcome party sila sa mga bagong hire. I don't see any bad intentions on his face so it's probably fine. Pero ayaw ko sa mga party.

Not that I don't go to one but this is just different. This party is for me and kapag para sakin, the attention are focused on me and they would like to have a conversation with me and that's one thing I don't want to happen.

Kapag di naman para sakin yung party, I can just distance myself and eat all the food na libre. Then uuwi ako kapag gusto ko ng umuwi. Easy life.

I was just about to decline him nung may tumawag na naman sakin.

Dude, come on! Gusto ko ng umuwi.

"Miss Valeria!"

I then, turned to the other man who called me. Seriously, what's with them?

"Miguel! Good to see you here? You have business with Miss Valeria?"

Woah wait

So kilala nila ang isa't isa.

"Yes. I was ordered by the president to escorts Miss Valeria to his office today." This Miguel guy answered.

"Really?! I should have known. I actually want to invite her to a welcoming party today. You know, typical greetings to every newcomers. Guess we won't be having it today. Can we have it rescheduled next time Miss Valeria? What do you think?" Sir Alex asked me.

Ayoko talaga so I must decline it.

"I know I may sound rude sir but I'm not into those. I'm kinda introverted so I don't usually socialize. I hope you respect my decision."

I'm starting to sweat again. Mabuti nalang pala natutunan kong mag decline. At least hindi na ako masyadong kabado kapag humihindi.

Sir Alex looked disappointed but decided to remain his casual look.

"I understand. If you wanted to have one, don't hesitate to reach me. I'm always open doors. Well then, see you Miss Valeria. Have a great time!"

He excused himself after it.
