a simple encounter

always and forever

I woke up to the sound of yelling, I quickly opened my eyes in a panic only to see that Vision was no longer lying beside me. I stood up and made my way out of the room to follow the yelling. I walked into the lab just to see Tony and Rhodey arguing, while Vision was sitting on the couch just watching the two argue. Once I enter the room, Vision looks up at me and smiles, I smile back and chuckle. The two stop arguing and look at me.

"Look at you kiddo, already on your feet!" Tony exclaims

Rhodes rushes over and gives me a hug, Tony follows close behind.

"What are you two arguing about?" I ask

"Just a slight disagreement. Rhody here doesn't want to accept the fact that the Avengers are over," Tony replies

"Over? The Avengers are over?" I ask in confusion

"With Cap and I not on speaking terms, half of the team locked up and a few of us on vacation or retired, it's pretty unavoidable," Tony states

Rhodes just looks at the ground and shakes his head as Tony speaks.

"Maybe you're right, I guess it's just not the most ideal thing to hear," I say in sadness

"How has your recovery been?" Rhodey asked

"It's actually been going by fast. I feel significantly stronger every day," I smile

"That's great kiddo, Has Vision been keeping you company?" Tony asks

"Yes, We get along well," I chuckle

"I see you've also improved his nano-tech, him being able to actually take human form, that's amazing," Tony states

I smile and look over at Vision, our eyes meet and he comforts me with a warm smile. Tony and I decide to sit in the common room so we could catch up on things and reconnect. Tony tells me all about Pepper and how she and he have been doing. He also tells me about new things he's been working on in his lab. I listen attentively as he updates me on things.

"What about you and the Vision?" Tony asks me

"Oh, he's sweet, yes," I say nervously

"Have you boned yet? Can you even do that? I mean I helped on his design but I don't remember giving him a-" Tony states but I stop him before he gets too dirty

"Tony! It's not like that," I say nervously

I lied. I really did like Vision, but I was nervous. I'm nervous to rush or to say something that Vision doesn't agree with.

"Really?" Tony says in pure confusion

In response, I just look at the ground, not sure what to say.

"Hmm, I see," Tony states

Tony asks me about what I've been working on in the lab and how I've been doing with the healing process. Once we get talking about my work in the lab, it's almost like we can't stop. Soon after, Tony gets a call and has to step away to take it. I return to the lab where Rhodey was, I had no idea where Vision ran off to. Rhodey smiled at me as I entered.

"Hey, can I ask you something?" I ask

"Yeah, of course," he replies

"Have you heard from Steve?" I ask

"I have. He and Bucky are together. They're coming up with a plan-" Rhodey begins to lower his voice

"He's gonna break the rest of his team out of the Raft. I didn't want to tell Stark, mainly because I know he would try to stop it. They're my friends, I don't want them locked up like animals anymore," Rhodes continues quietly
