Poetry because why not? ~part 1~

one more day with you

if i had one more day with you

i know you wouldn't make me blue.

you always had this contagious smile on your face

in which I wish I could once more embrace. 

your stories always drawn a crowd in

and for one thing they always made me grin.

You use to tell me stories of your life

and always seemed to end in time.

You never made me frown

you also awaken parts in me I had not found.

Your life was inspiring

and also so admiring.

I am happy I got to see you and the way you changed my life

you taught me how to live and one day be an amazing wife.

I know it is very sad that we hadn't gotten to see each other

but I want you to remember you are in my heart and like one of my mothers. 

I don't want to focus on the day you left

but on the amazing life you lived and how you were so blessed.

An amazing person left this world

a person no one deserved. 

I will not focus on the time that you will not be here

but on the life that you led that made everyone else's so dear.

I know we can't see each other but we will be together soon

and I will never forget all those talks in the afternoon.

I know your somewhere better now, and I no longer should cry

but take your life as an example and do everything I can to strive.
