Chapter 7

" How did you get here ?" I said picking a book

It had a blue cover with the same word sculpted on it 'mewni'

After reading it a bit I realized it was covering almost the same world but it was focusing more on the mewmans judging by their description they are human-like life forms only they're slightly stronger and some of them are talented with magic

The book focused on the royal families that ruled and the condition of the people during each era it had a lot of fascinating stories about battles between the so-called monsters and the mewman.

It had a lot of contradiction, without realising I'm already thirty pages in and it's well past three AM " I should go to sleep" I mumbled " ok one last story"

The next chapter was called 'the diamond's queen'

The diamond's queen also known as Moon Butterfly, has become the queen at a young age after the disappearance of her sister and the tragic death of her mother she was made a queen in the most unpleasant of times in the middle of the war between her newly owned kingdom the monsters that killed her mother.

during those desperate times she made a deal with the queen that shall not be named, Moon asked for a piece of knowledge and the queen asked for freedom when the threat was terminated, Moon didn't like the deal but was too desperate to refuse, the queen gave Moon the knowledge as agreed, among that knowledge was a way take revenge for the death of her mother, but when it was all said and done the queen wasn't so dense to go after vengeance she chased away the monsters and protected her kingdom her era is still hovering and the kingdom is living in peace and prosperity, but the future of the queen is still unravelled for the threat is always lingering waiting for a sign of weakness to strike

" Well that was.........new " I mumbled

I closed the book and head to bed and in no time I heard the door knocking I checked the time it was 9 AM I dragged my half-asleep body to the door

On the other side was James

" Ya ?" I said

" I'm going to the market, want anything ?"

" You woke me because of that ...I want to punch you sooo hard  "

" that's what I get for being a good friend ?" James said

I looked at him cluelessly

" it's Monday, it's nine AM .....and you only have underwear on might want to change if you want to make it on time"

It then clicked and I was having a panic attack I ran to the bathroom to take a shower

" DO YOU NEED ANYTHING !?" James shouted

" SOME COFFEE AND I'LL MAKE BREAKFAST TODAY "

In thirty minutes I was out walking to my car while I left James to enjoy his breakfast

I reached my destination in about thirty minutes, I entered the building reached the room when I opened the door I was shocked to see .....TOM sitting there

Tom's eyes widened when he saw me " Marco What are you doing here?" said Tom

" I'm here to see my therapist, what are you doing here ?"

" you mean he didn't tell you ?"

" Tell me what ?"

" he had a family emergency so he won't be here for a few weeks he should have informed you, as of why I'm here, Ronald is an old friend of mine he told me the office is empty so I decided to stay here for a while it was this or staying with my wife and her friend that I can't tolerate for with hours"

" well I'm sorry to interrupt I'll take my leave now see you later"

" hey don't leave me here I'm dying from boredom, are you hungry?"

" not real-" I was cut off by the sound of my stomach

" I'll take this as a yes I know a good diner near here they serve the best pancakes "

Without hesitation, I accepted the invitation and now I'm enjoying this masterpiece of a pancake

" I hope your arm doesn't keep you from your normal routine," said Tom

" It's hard to cook with one hand other than that it's fine "

" so ......I probably should not interfere and it's completely fine if you don't want to talk about it but why do you need a therapist "

" it's a long boring story really"

" I'm all ears "

" ha........ It started about a year ago I met this beautiful lady, her name was Julia she's the nicest lady you'll meet but you don't want to mess with her we kept meeting and eventually started dating, we kept dating for about five months she moved with me and things were going great I was happy I'm pretty certain she was too and one day when we were out for dinner she told me and I quote ' listen, Marco, you're a great man but I'm in love with someone else I'm sorry but it just won't work out between us ' "

" and what did you do ?"

" I finished my meal paid the bill and told her ' I'm not mad at you I just hope you don't regret it ', and just like that she went her way and I went mine I'm still not over her yet, and about two months ago I got depressed I didn't want to talk to anyone and hell I'm sure I didn't eat anything for about two days eventually one of my friends talked me out of it and into seeking help I've been seeing Ronald for about a month now"

" And I thought I had it bad .......... I'm sorry about what happened to you but you know what, she's right you're a great man even when the girl you loved told you that she is in love with someone else you took it calmly and let her go I know many people who will kill in that situation, you're stronger and more reasonable than most of the man I know "

I simply thanked him and finished eating, after a while Tom phone ringed

"Hola ........babe..........yes ........yes........ I'm in the diner....... oh really that would be great .......sure ........ I'll be waiting "

He then closed the phone and looked at me " there's someone I'd like you to meet " and as on cue the doorbell ringed
