We all shared confused looks around the table.

"What the heck?" I thought. I was so confused at Tommy's sudden actions towards our waitress.

"Why are you here in Brighton?" Tommy question, pulling free from the hug, "I thought you were with mum and dad in Manchester?"

"They kicked me out," Jules scoffed, "I'm living with Aunt Janie." Tommy spun around and leaned over to Wilbur. He whispered something in his ear and Wilbur sighed.

"Tommy," Wilbur started, "I don't know.." Tommy cut him off.
"Please!" Tommy begged. I looked around the restaurant as our table stay silent. Everybody when back to their food and forgot about the noise.

Wilbur slammed his head against the table. "Fine," He said, picking it up again, "But you have to help me pay for rent." Jules nodded hugged Tommy one last time before walking away. Everybody at the table stared at Tommy as he sat down back in the booth. Tubbo was the first to speak.

"You never told me you had a sister!" He exclaimed.

"Wait," Lani paused, "That's your sister?" Tommy nodded and ate his dino nuggets quietly.

A minute passed of silence at our table until Wilbur spoke.

"Ava," Wilbur looked up at her as he said it, "you have a new roommate."

I almost choked on my water as he said it.

"What?" Ava said, slightly seeming outraged. "Who is it?" Tubbo demanded at the same time.

"Jules," Wilbur explained, "Tommy's sister." Tommy buried his face into his shirt, obviously embarrassed. "Willllll," Tommy moaned as he squeezed his hair.

"Why do I have to share with her?" Ava asked, still wanting answers. "Can't she share with Lani and Bailey?"

"You're sharing because it's the last girl room we have available and it would make it balanced," Wilbur announced, taking a large bite out of his salad.

"More woman!" Tubbo exclaimed with a smile spread across his face. Ava leaned back in her chair as the boys joked around about woman. I used their jokes as a chance to message Clay back.

Clay: How is it so far?

Bailey: This is, like, the third time you checked on me today. Calm yourself Clay

Clay: No
Who are your roommates?

Bailey: 3 girls and 3 boys, and we just got another girl roommate

Clay: I'd like to meet them :)

Bailey: Shut up and go play Minecraft

We soon finished dinner and left the restaurant. We were waiting outside for Wilbur to come with the car to pick us up.

I looked over at Ava as cold air whipped by us. She shivered, crossing her arms for warmth. The summer night was chilly in Brighton, something us girls forgot.

"You can use my coat," Tommy says from behind her, putting his coat on Ava's shoulders. She pinches the edges and pulls down, tucking herself in the coat.

"Aww," I whispered, thinking I said it only in my head. Ava and Tommy's head turned and glared at me. "Uhm," I stuttered, backing up a step, "Sorry, didn't mean to speak."

I looked into the parking lot, waiting for Wilbur's car to show up. Lani appeared next to me and leaned against my right arm. I pulled her closer by putting my arm behind her neck.

Wilbur soon pulled up and we got in the car, Tubbo called shotgun this time. Ava sat in the middle of the second row, with Tommy on her left and Bailey on her right. I sat in the dark back, looking out the small windows.

"Dinner was good," Wilbur said.
"Thanks for recommending it, Wilbur," Lani whispered, barely audible. I peered over the seat and noticed Lani half -asleep, leaning against her window. Ava was leaning on Tommy's shoulder and they were both asleep. I smiled and looked up front at Wilbur.

He looked so peaceful.

Wilbur looked in the mirror back at me. "You okay back there, Bailey?"

Oops. I leaned back slightly and nodded. I sat back completely and leaned against the back windows. It was nighttime and the moonlight shone against my window.

For a moment the world suddenly felt peaceful. No overprotective brothers.
No abusive parents.
No relationship troubles.
Everything seemed okay and well with my roommates, like the world was all gonna be alright.
