The soft rays of the sunlight kiss my skin when my eyes gently flutter open. I softly smile, listening to the morning breeze outside my bedroom as I lie contently in my bed. I yawn, surprising myself a bit when my mouth stretches as wide as possible. My arms stiffen up slightly as they help me sit up, allowing me to glance around the spinning room. I am more than horrified to see my entire room a mess, with how bad my focus really is. My hands grips softly against the smooth silky sheets. "I'm never going out to party again..." I quietly groan, whining as I take the sheets of my warmed body.

I drag the sore soles of my feet over to the bathroom, in hopes of taking a nice and relaxing shower. I step into the shower and instinctively close my eyes, listening to the sounds of water dripping off my body. The goosebumps along my skin raises, feeling the intense heat from every tiny droplet. So hot one would probably think I'm from the depths of hell. It was like if time had stopped, becoming a little too relaxed— so much I ended up spending an hour and a half in the shower...

After drying myself up and putting on my outfit of the day, my growling stomach leads itself into the kitchen, I fix myself up some toast and coffee. I look out the kitchen window, sometimes wondering how I even landed such an amazing farm ranch in the first place. I always have help every now and again to preserve the absolute beauty of this place. Since it feels like I'm probably gonna spend my time here for a long while... which I don't mind, I'm more so scared that I'll get tired and try to find a less convenient location to stay on the low. For now, I'm just trying to relax my mind and watch the horses run in their paddock, as well as other livestock. Something wet and cold presses up against my leg, redirecting my attention to the culprit.

"Hey Willow, looks like you got an early bird start to boss your other friends around. Was it fun?" I smile at her, my brown and white border collie who's considered the Queen of this place. She continues to pant with a gaze of satisfacation, wagging her tail. Willow then heads over to her food bowl, sitting patiently and stares at me— her servant, if it wasn't clear enough. I chuckle and slowly shake my head, heading over to the fridge to take out the freshest ingredients of food for her hard earned work.

She barks softly, ordering me to finish up as she gets impatient by the moment. "Alright, Alright. Here's your breakfast, your highness. I guess I should be more grateful, considering the powerful man I'm trying to run away from... Anyways—" I mumble, placing her food bowl down and watch as she chows down.

It felt almost too perfect, besides the pounding pain on my brain. I try my best to shrug it off and down the rest of my coffee. The birds stop chirping. A strong vibration violently shakes my entire house, I immediately drop to the ground and find the nearest table. Ever since I've learned about the Earth and it's earthquakes, It's been my least favorite thing in the world. Then again, it's not what I'm used to and is quite frankly nothing compared to the other dangerous experiences I've been through. I call for Willow to join me under the table, her body shaking in my arms as I try to soothe her with slow strokes on her back.

Once the vibrations simmer down, we both crawl out and get back to our things. I pull out my phone and see if the earthquake was recorded near me. Instead, a ping notification sounds on my phone and the message banner pops on top of the screen:

𝙵𝚛𝚘𝚖 "𝚆𝚘𝚖𝚊𝚗𝚒𝚣𝚎𝚛 𝚂𝚙𝚊𝚌𝚎 𝙳𝚘𝚞𝚌𝚑𝚎𝚋𝚊𝚐": 𝙷𝚒. 𝚆𝚎 𝚖𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚋𝚎 𝚘𝚞𝚝𝚜𝚒𝚍𝚎... 𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚗𝚘𝚠.

My brows furrow as I place the puzzle pieces together. My eyes widen and I accidentally slam my coffee cup on the counter, wasting no time with rushing to the door. "No. No! Not fucking today!" I yell out loud, with every single pissed off fiber of my being before opening the door. Rushing out to then see his huge ship already landed on the open patch of my large grassy acre field. Not to my surprise I sigh heavily, seeing the Guardians of the Galaxy find their way out of the ship. They start scanning the rest of the area before landing their eyes on me.
