Valentina has a crush on Hermione Granger, that much is certain. There was a charm to the girls wit and frizzy hair, as well as her usual frazzled appearance. Such a fact was surprising to most as Valentina Malfoy was the definition of morally grey and heartless. But as much as Valentina had shamelessly flirted with the girl, she was painfully oblivious to Valentina's affections. Or maybe she just doesn't reciprocate, that's a thought that keeps her up at night. 

Coming into 5th year, Valentina could swear she was making progress. Hermione would flush at her pick-up lines, and would occasionally join her to study. It was sweet, and almost warmed Valentina's cold heart. But then suddenly a switch flipped, and Hermione Granger has turned into Valentina Malfoy; with cold eyes and stinging words. Although Valentina thinks the cause of such behaviour is the judgmental looks from Harry and Ron. 

So Valentina also flips her switch, and Valentina Malfoy returns, the daughter of a Sacred 28 family. A death eater. And she finds the next best thing to the stupid gryffindor Hermione Grange, which is her best friend Pansy Parkinson.

- Her family keep up appearances, and she is fine with it because all of her friends are within the Sacred 28

- Valentina had a crush on Hermione for ages and only Pansy knows, but all the Gryffindors think of her as a death eater

- She flirts and teases Hermione to cover for her real feelings and Hermione just scoffs 

- Hermione starts to blush when Valentina flirts with her and she doesn't know what to do since Valentina is a Slytherin and Ron and Harry hate them

- Eventually after enough teasing and trying to spend time with her, Hermione insults Valentina when she was riled up to get her to back off since Ron and Harry were suspicious of her liking Valentine. Valentina turns cold and tells Hermione she is just as cruel as other Slytherins

- Valentina and Pansy start a serious friends with benefits for Valentina to get over Hermione which makes Hermione jealous since she is no longer getting attention
