Day of Revolution - Part II

-Before Ethereal forces are fully settled in, the group meet Dawson at the entrance of the pier base-

Dawson:
Sir.

Vern:
Dawson. No need to worry about the leader of this base. The hires and I have taken care of it.

Dawson:
Glad you're still with us, sir.

Vern:
I thank you for your concern. I'd like status report, if you please.

Dawson:
I won't lie, we took a hit from this. Good news is everything is going exactly as we planned it, sir. With the momentum we have now, we'll be able to take that main pier.

Vern:
Good. We'll use this base as a front for now. Tell our soldiers to rest up. That includes you as well.

Dawson:
Yes sir.

-Dawson quickly nods in affirmation, then walks off to assist the wounded Ethereal soldiers towards the medical tents. Vern then turns his head to switch his attention to the trio before speaking again-

Vern:
We could not have done this without your hard work. I thank you.

Lux:
You payin' us. Why the fuck else would we be here?

-Vern chuckles lightly at Lux's comment-

Vern:
Yes, yes, I suppose you're right.

Jade:
You're welcome though, Matthias.

-Klaus steps up to Matthias with a smile on his face, and gently pats the top of his head-

Klaus:
You're a good boy.

-Klaus then walks aimlessly in the other direction without saying another word-

Vern:
Feel free to take a breather. We'll be moving out in a hour. We've gained a good opportunity, it would be a shame to waste it. Excuse me.

-With a courteous nod, Vern takes his leave. Feeling a bit tense and exhausted, Jade stretches her arms upward as she turns to speak to Lux-

Jade:
Probably gonna rest or some shit. You?

Lux:
Ain't tired. Plus, I brought my cigarettes with me just for this.

Jade:
'Ight, see ya in about an hour.

Lux:
'Ight then.

-Jade walks away in the same direction as Klaus, and Lux glances around the destroyed base as he speaks to himself-

Lux:
'Ight, need to find a place where it's fuckin' quiet.

Tora:
(Nobody's at the pier.)

Lux:
Cool. Get the fuck out of my head and stop talkin' to me.

Tora:
(O-Oh, okay...Sorry.)

-When you capture a base, you can rest, sort through your equipment bag and skills, and save. Speak to Dawson when you are ready to leave-

-Lux walks throughout the base on his way towards the pier, interacting with a few Abnormals who praises his amazing power in combat-

Ethereal Soldier:
Hey, you're the guy Matthias hired right? Saw you guys fighting earlier. Gotta say, besides Commander Dawson, his elite team, and Matthias, I've never seen Abnormals use their powers like you guys do.

Lux:
Seeing us fuck up blue skins give you a hard on or somethin'?

Ethereal Soldier:
H-Huh? Well no, I just, uh...
