"i want to escape to another world"

"are you ready?" i nodded, she extended her hand for me to take and i did. we walked to the garage and got in one of Leo's black big cars.

Rory helped put on my seatbelt and she got in the passenger seat while Leo got in the drivers seat. he started the car 

"where are we going?" i asked

Rory looked at Leo and he answered "its a surprise buddy, I'm sure your going to like it" he turned his head towards the back where i was sitting and smiled.

"prince Liam, do you like barney?" Rory asked

"yes! mom would always sing the song with me" i smiled happily 

the car was silent for a second until Rory spoke again "well i was wondering if you wanted to sing it with me ?" 

"Yeah" i agreed

she pressed some buttons on the car's radio and did some grown up stuff and suddenly the song blasted in the car. i started moving around with Rory and we danced in our seats and started singing  "BARNEY IS A DINASOUR FROM OUR IMAGINATION AND WHEN HE'S TALL HE'S WHAT WE CALL A DINASOUR SENSATION!"

all 3 of us started laughing together. i felt happy.

a few minutes later i heard Leo say "where here" and he stopped the car and stepped. he moved around the car and opened the backseats door and helped me up.

"i think Leo wants to give you a piggy back ride..." Rory smiled at both of us and i looked at Leo hopefully

"fine" Leo groaned and glared at Rory

i quickly got on his back wrapping my legs around his waist and wrapping my arms around his shoulder. Rory took out things from the back of the car and followed us as. we headed to the place Leo took us to but i couldn't see what it was till we went closer.

it was a huge beautiful garden with lots of swings and flowers and even random animals playing inside a tiny pond. 

"wow" both me and Rory said in the same time

"Leo how did you find this place" Rory asked

"mom used to take me here with Liam, he even learned to run here" he said and i couldn't help but notice how Rory frowned for a second

"what are we waiting for? come on we have a picnic to start" she started running in the grass field

"Leo put me down i want to run with Rory!" i told my brother

"\were going to race her together" he laughed and he started running with me on his back till we caught up to Rory

"oh come on that's not fair your taller than me" we beat her to a shade spot under a tree

"sore loser" Rory groaned

Rory started taking out things from a basket and setting them up, it was a red and white checkered picnic mat, with all sorts of food on it.

"picnic time!" Rory said and all 3 of us sat on the mat and started digging in. there was turkey sandwiches, grilled cheese, tiny hot dogs, juice, and so many sweet things. __________________________

"Rory, I'm tired" we just finished eating and i felt drowsy 

"ok then, you can lay on my lap" she said taking of her jacket, i sat in her lap and leaned on her as she placed her jacket on top of me to cover me from the evening breeze. i closed my eyes and tried to sleep.

 "can i ask you something..?" i heard Rory's voice ask Leo who hummed a 'yes' 

"why doesn't your dad live with you, or did something happen to him" Rory asked Leo exhaled deeply 

" if I'm going to give you answers you need to know the story from the beginning"

 "are you sure? you don't have to tell me if you want to"

 "no i want to its not because of you or anybody, its for them. their story deserves to be heard" 

 "ok then take your time..."

he breathed in and out and stayed silent for some time then he spoke

 "i was 17 and my mom was pregnant with Liam, i went to a boarding school. i met a girl called savannah there and we had a relationship for most of senior year, then we broke it off. flash forward to my 20th birthday when Liam was 3 years old, i met savannah again since my mom chose to invite her to Liam's 3rd birthday party, and the party was in this very park" 

he took a deep breath " me and savannah got back together around that time, but from that point on, it was always on & off again in a cycle. the signs were very clear but i didn't even pay attention to them." 

"on her 21th birthday i was 23, she basically invited us to fancy bar that her father owned. my dad was still ruling the imperium empire then. we all went there, even chase came. we celebrated her birthday normally, but i couldn't help but feel like something is wrong, it was a gut feeling." 

"turns out, they used my absence to find my mom and kidnap her, when we found out they asked for a ransom and we accepted, we went to the place they would give her back to us in exchange for the money. but it was all a trap. they used the soldiers and i's absence as a way to attack our base"

"they attacked my dad and murdered him, as if he wasn't the mafia king at that time. and when we tried to finish the deal with them, they got a signal that dad was killed and they Murdered my mom in front of my eyes. they created chaos. making it impossible for us to retrieve her body from the bullets and bombs. they took her body and didn't even let us bury her. they sent us flesh from her and we tested the DNA, it was her.  last night my aunt Susan called and told me that they found the place they buried her in with her belongings, they started extracting her corpse. that's why i caused havoc"

"it was savannah. she was part of her fathers gang, the same gang that killed both of my parents. The ultores. i wanted revenge for my parents and killed her own parents in front of her without an ounce of mercy, and when i was about to kill her but she fled" Leo finished telling her the story. 

i heard Rory sniffling from above me 

"I'm sorry." i heard her say

" no one knows what you've been through and I'm sure that you've been though a lot more, no one understands what it feels like to be broken, to be numb, even i don't. and it breaks me to see you that way. i just want you to know that there is always a source of happiness in your life even if you don't see it. its right under your nose Leo, and that source if happiness is sleeping" she sadly laughed as she stroked my head

"even though, no one will truly stay by your side?" Leo scoffed

"that's not true. Chase, Xavier, Antonio, Alex, and Liam. they are beside you always. you basically cant get rid of them" he laughed

"and i will always be there for you."
