There was no response. Adrien simply glared  into the bright green eyes of Plagg.

After a moment passed, Adrien put both of his hands over his eyes as he let his frustration and sadness overcome him. He was upset over his mother, and his father. He was angry towards his mother with the small chance of her simply leaving because she wanted to. He was angry towards his father for becoming distant with his only son who was also suffering the loss of someone dear to him.

And above all, he felt guilty, for being upset at his mother over an accusation. And feeling guilty for his anger towards his father who was still grieving.

"Adrien!" Plagg said in shock, "You can talk to me. Tell me what's bothering you"

Plagg was frantically trying to find a way to comfort his friend but it was hard. Adrien was angry with his thoughts and tried his very best to not think about it. It frustrated him and he quickly wiped away his eyes. He wanted his mother and father. He wanted his family again. He wanted what he hasn't had for a year.

             A real family.

His father was neglectful and he was angry at him for it. His mother was gone and yet he was angry at why she left. If she left. In his head, the idea circulated that he was genuinely angry at his mother who was most likely dead. His mother, whom he loved dearly. He hated himself for his thoughts. The last thing he wanted to do was share them.

"Nothing's wrong," Adrien sighed as he wiped the tears that were dripping onto the crown of Plagg's head.

"Clearly there is something wrong, kid. Listen, I need you to tell me so I can help you."

             "I...I can't. I really...can't deal with these thoughts. I definitely shouldn't talk about this"

"It's your mom isn't it." Plagg said bluntly

Adrien was silent for a moment and tried not to feel anything. He tightly grabbed his other arm as a way of comforting himself until it came past the point of hurting. Plagg quickly got a hold of his hand and forced Adrien to stop. Desperately, Plagg tried to get Adrien tell him what was bothering him.

"...Did...Do you think she left me?" Adrien somberly asked. He looked at Plagg in hope for a certain answer.

            ".....I don't know Adrien. I really, really don't and I'm sorry."

Adrien turned away from Plaggand pushed back the ideas that rushed into his head once again.

"But Adrien," Plagg began as he flew to the other side of the room, grabbed a picture of Emile Agreste, and rushed back to Adrien's lap, "Does this look like a face of someone who wanted to leave you?"

Adrien grabbed the picture from Plagg and looked at it for a while. The soft green eyes of his mother spoke to him, declaring her love for her son without question. So how dare he question it?

The more he looked at the pictue, the more he wanted the mother who was in the picture. He wanted her love. He didn't want the idea of it. Adrien felt slightly better, but of course that meant that the reason she was gone was most likely an idea he didn't want to conclude. Adrien smiled at Plagg and began crying. Plagg comforted him once again.

Following the mourning of his mother, Adrien lied on his bed and put his arm over his head. He sighed in and out. He was planning on sleeping the rest of the day away until Plagg started playing the piano. The tune was playful as Plagg jumped around the keys of the piano. The tune allowed Adrien to smile as he got up from his bed.

"What are you doing?" he laughed.

"I'm bringing up the mood.. It's too depressing in this room," Plagg responded full of energy, "Come on, Join me!"

Adrien walked over to his piano and finally sat down. The picture of his mother at the corner of his piano brought his mood up rather than the alternative this time. He sat at the middle of the piano bench and looked at the piano. It reminded him of his father. The pressure his father put on him to be perfect at everything.

Usually when he looked at the piano, he was anxious. It always followed some sort of anger from his father after he would mess up. He didn't have time to practice due to constantly being called to patrol. He tried his best to not think about it since he was too sick of being sad. Plagg read his face once again.

          "..You good?" he asked.

"Yeah, I'm great," he exclaimed as he eagerly started improvising a jazzy routine.

His face lit up the more he played and Plagg began playing along. They were both laughing at each other and the mood of the room changed so much.  Adrien tried his best to keep his composure and continued playing until the beat of the song changed as he heard the soft footsteps of someone walking to his room. He stopped playing the piano and stared at the door as Plagg hid inside of his backpack. The steps finally stopped right outside the door of his room.

"Adrien?" his father said, "It's me.

Adrien's eyes kept to the ground. He didn't want to open the door. As much as he loved when his father spent time with him and loved when they were acting as a family, he didn't want to see his father. The grudge was still there. As much as he felt guilty about it, it was still there. He stayed silent until his dad knocked once again.

"Adrien, Open up. I know you're awake," he said sternly this time around.

Adrien finally got up on his two feet and walked to the door. He was mentally exhausted and didn't want to even look at his father, but as always he did what he asked.

        "Adrien!" Gabriel yelled.

The door swung open instantly as Adrien looked into the eyes of his father clearly annoyed.

      "What?" he grumbled.

"What has gotten into you? You would never treat me like this." his father angrily said.

"Listen, I'm sorry dad. Please...just leave me alone today. Just...for today."

"What is your problem. You are never like this."

"How would you know that?" Adrien blurted in response, "You never spend time with me, You never want to spend time with me, You don't care about me, and you've barely said a word to me since mom left and now you want to talk today? Of all days?"

"You know that's not true Adrien. I've been...I've been busy with things." Gabriel stated.

"With what exactly?" Adrien mumbled, then yelled "Last year you were never like this! Ever! When...when mom was here you tried your hardest to spend time with me, and mom. Why are you now just...giving up? How come you haven't left the house since then? How come you never allow me to do anything that would make me happy and you turn every little event I tell you about into a competition where I have to perform correctly if I simply want to hang out with my friends!"

"That's ... that's what I'm here to tell you." Gabriel returned. There was a surge of guilt in his voice.

"Oh really. So your actions are excusable now?"

"I'm trying to get your mother back!" Gabriel said quickly in response to stop his son's words, "I know where she is, and I'm trying to get her back!"

Adrien stood there in silence as his mind began rushing with thoughts.

          "...W...What did you say?"
