Solace

Rustic smell of leather covers

With sunshine entering the slits

A story that seldom hovers

An old feeling of not calling-it quits.

Because when one commits

to this beautiful wonderland,

Tackling ancient myths

Becoming an enchanting escape.

Sometimes friends, sometimes lovers

No one can tell where it fits,

The escape is not from others

But accepting yourself ; for when one admits.

When zeal submits

Ask for a helping hand

At times, my fun can make me a misfit

Leaving all of them with a gape.

Is it too late to discover?

A world without a permit?

Dealing with no lightening, only thunder.

Trying every possible way to inhibit

Work with optimism and wits.

Let your comfort not be grand

yet strong enough to impact when a mind lits

To see how simple matters can be grave.

Don't be shattered to bits

You're the one that has to take the stand

Heal what has enlightened your spirits.

Or end up being the society's slave.

Hi guys! Hope you liked the poem.

The prompt was suggested by hevar123456.Thanks a lot for this beautiful idea. It did challenge my thoughts.

It was the first time I tried to in Ballade (different from ballad) so please do tell your opinions.

I really like the word 'Solace'. You're not lonely, just satisfied in your world. One message of the poem is to love doing what you like because the world is cruel enough.
