"Anyways, I'll see you guys around" Tonpa waved off. I glare at him as he walks off.

"He better watch his back..."I smile. Leorio lifted me up higher to his shoulders. "Wha-What are you doing?" I ask

"I just figured since we are here I'll carry you for a while.."He shrugged. I hum and shrug it off

I don't really mind being carried by him now...He has helped me to get to the Exam after all. Maybe I should find someway to thank him after the Exam...

Riiinng!!

"Hm?"

A wall lifted up. A rather tall man was revealed, with purple hair and a darker shade of purple for his suit. Does he have a mouth?

"I apologize for the delay. Thank you for waiting. The entry period for Hunter applicants is officially closed. So, with no further ado, the Hunter Exam will now begin!" His moustache moved every time he spoke. Not gonna lie, it does look funny...

I smirked. The Hunter Exam. I've been trying since I was 15, I better not fail this year. I got down to Leorio's ear and whispered "You could put me down now" I tapped his shoulder

"Alrighty!" He grabbed me by the armpits and set me down. I nod at him as some thank you.

"One final word of caution...If you're short on luck or ability, keep in mind that there's a very real chance you could end up seriously injured. Death is another distinct possibility." the purple dude warned

(off topic but "to the man behind the slaughter....")

I started stretching, legs, arms, what ever I need to prepare for this years exam. "If you're willing to accept the risks involved, I'll ask you to follow me now." He stuck his arm out "But for the rest of you kindly exit through the elevator located behind you."

No one moved. Not a single word either. I smirked, I guess this year everyone's serious. It was a few minutes before the guy started talking again. "Right, then. Very well. All 404 applicants will now participate in Phase One." He spoke

He took one step and walked off like some military person. All of us started walking behind him. "Yeah, I didn't think anybody was gonna leave. But I'd hoped a few would duck out at least." Leorio sighed

"Well last year there were some people leaving, but it's no more than under 5 that leave" I scratch my head. It's gotten blurry, I take off my glasses and clean them off

Everyone started slowly jogging now "Hm? Wha?" I look up ahead and see the Examiner has sped up. We all started running now, I quickly put my glasses back on and caught up

"Whoa. What...?"

"I think the people up front have started running." Gon said. I nod "It's because he's picking up the pace."

"How rude of me. I neglected to introduce myself. I am Satotz, your Examiner for the First Phase of the Exam. It's my responsibility to lead all of you to the Second Phase." Satotz spoke.

It's time to get serious. "Second Phase, Huh?" I mumble. I guess we are just following him.

"Follow you? So that's it? There's nothing else?" Someone upfront spoke out. "That's right. I cannot tell you where or when you must arrive. You need only to follow me." Mr.Satotz said. I see...

"I see how it is." Kurapika spoke. "This Exam is weird" Gon sighed. Well, all he said was just to follow, nothing more. "Sounds a lot like a basic endurance test to me."

I glanced at Leorio and he had a rather creepy smile "That's right up my alley. Keep running, pal! I'm right behind ya!" He smirked

I chuckle. But how long would take to get to the  Second Phase? This could be some test for our mental state and physical...
