"sei così stupido"

i entered the walk in closet and chose what i wanted to wear. i didn't have much of a choice, since everything is black. so i picked out the simplest things i found.

Ayla got out of the bathroom and entered the walk in closet to change into new clothes. i hopped in the bathroom and started my shower. the bathroom looks more expensive than my entire house. 

20 minutes later i got out of the shower, used the hair dryer to dry my hair, then got out to wear my clothes. 

i saw ayla siting down on the bed waiting for me. she was wearing a black cropped t-shirt with washed blue jeans. i entered the walk in closet and picked up the outfit i chose; a black tank top, a tracksuit jacket with wide high wasted jeans and a pair of white sneakers.

the door suddenly opened revealing Alexandra with a pile of papers.

"so Leonidas asked me to give these to you, he wants them signed now instead of tomorrow. he says he doesn't trust you." 

"the faster we sign the faster we get this over with" she handed me the contract and i started reading it

"alex, it says we have to live in Sicily.." i asked confused

"yes. that's one of the rules." 

i thought about it for a second. i realized that i will be closer to chase. i agreed for the sake of my brother.

 i read the rest of the papers, let me tell you the rules in my perspective: 

1) if i stitch. I'm dead.

2) if i don't listen to Leonidas's orders. I'm dead.

3) if i go out of line. I'm dead.

4) if i don't do my job properly. I'm dead.

5) if i break the omerta. I'm dead.

6)i have to accept whatever mission I'm given. or I'm dead.

7) i have to start learning Italian. or I'm dead

8) if i talk back in any shape or form. I'm dead.

9) I'm going to move my house and live in one of the gang houses in Sicily. or I'm dead.

10) Leonidas can choose to kill me if i do anything he doesn't accept. or I'm dead.

so in conclusion, I'm dead. i have a habit of ignoring the rules. nonetheless, i had to sign. i couldn't leave chase right after we found each other again. i signed the contract that just took my freedom away. my old life, is gone. 

i handed Alex the signed papers, and so did Ayla. her rules were similar to mine, but didn't have to do with missions. she wasn't asked to be a murderer. 

"we're having dinner downstairs and Leonidas doesn't like it when people are late..." she told us and headed outside of the door.

me and Ayla looked at each other and laughed. "that's the one thing were good at" 

we ran after Alex and we reached a door, which she slid open revealing an elevator. we got on and she pressed the 1st floor button. a few seconds later the door opened. we followed her to another stair case that leads to  a large dining table. we descended and reached the table which had Chase, Jaxon, Leo, and 3 other guys i had no clue about. 

"that's Xavier, that's Noah, and that's Antonio" Alex said pointing at the guys that i didn't know

chase got up and engulfed me in a bear hug. 

"i cant breath chase" i managed to gasp. he chuckled and mumbled a 'sorry' 

"come, i want you to meet my friends" he said leading me to sit on his right side, which happens to be the closest to Leo. 

"this is Xavier, he is the muscle in our gang. Noah, the smart tech guy, also a sniper. Antonio, he does all the explosions, bombs, and distractions. that's Leonidas. no need for an introduction" he said pointing at each person he talked about 

when he said Leonidas's name, he scoffed, and gave me a glare that made me look down immediately. 

his presence makes you cower in fear. he is exactly what the rumors describe him as. he is a 6 ft  man that can tower over my 5 ft 4 figure and crush it. he had guns and knives strapped around him. he can pull one of them out and end anyone's life. and no one can object. 

"hey, you zoned out" chase took me out of  my trance

"i was just thinking" i explained

"like the time you fell in the pond because you took a walk while thinking?" he reminded 

"you did not..." i glared at him

"i so did" he smirked 

"i swear chase Ace Amherst I'm-" 

"your what? " he got up from his chair "i don't think your gonna do anything"

i stood up from my chair "even though your taller, it doesn't mean i cant catch up to you" 

"you looked like a drenched chihuahua when u got out of the pond" he took a few steps away

"That's it! your dead" i ran after him while he ran around the dining table 

"remember when mom made that pie on thanksgiving and you went down the stairs and bumped into her and splattered the pie all over your face and the floor?" he said through breaths and chuckles while still running away from me

i ran after him "remember the time you tried helping fix dads car and ended up puncturing the tires so dad got stuck under the car for 30 minutes so you kept on getting him Capri sun so he wouldn't get mad at you?" i told him while running after him

"NO YOU DID NOT" he shouted and i laughed so hard and closed my eyes in the process 

suddenly, my face hit into a wall. 

i groaned in pain 

"why do i have to be the clumsy sibling?" 

i opened my eyes and realized something  i wish i didn't.

i didn't hit into a wall, but into a hard chest. and it belonged to the one and only Leonidas Gambino. 

"Sei così stupida. È patetica" he looked down at me and narrowed his eyes 

(translation: you're so stupid, it's pathetic)

"because of your childish behavior, your starting your training from tomorrow morning 5 am sharp." his deep voice got me cowering in fear, i found myself nodding and turning around.

 i following Alex and Ayla who were going back to the assigned rooms we had. mine just happened to be across from the devil himself.

the drama i had in the past 24 hours was more than i have ever experienced in the past 21 years of my life. 

and it only just started.
