Ajey's P.O.V
Panting hard, I reached for the nearest couch. Tanya handed me a glass of water. "Phew!" I exhaled after gulping the water in a single breathe. "This isn't working boy! You need to calm down!" she said.
"I'm trying." I excused. "See, its simple. He's a little puppy. When you run, he thinks you are playing with him and that's why he too runs behind you. So all that you need to do is just stop." she explained.
"Just stop? Well that is a very tough task in itself!"
Honestly, I never met anyone so polite and humble. Tanya was as sweet as sugar. She laughed heartily and unlike Saniya, was very talkative and friendly. She would start with the discussion of a famous mystery novel and end up sharing her knowledge about tea gardens.
And her sense of humor was savage! I loved her personality because it kinda matched with mine. You would never get bored of her talks, they were just endless and super intriguing. The best part was that even though infinite, her talks were always of a kind wherein you can relate and join in.
She was full of life. So much so, that I almost forgot about Saniya. It was only when Tanya had to leave due to some urgent work at her firm that I realized how quiet she had been from the very minute of my arrival.
After she was gone, my eyes swirled around to have a good look on the place. All the walls were artistically decorated with handmade paper decors. They were also covered in beautiful light blue and white coloured wallpapers. I was sitting in the drawing room.
At some distance behind my back, were stairs to the next floor beside which a narrow lane led to the dining hall. The kitchen was attached to the dining hall. It had green and white coloured wallpapers with some other paper decors.
And then my eyes fell on the couch that laid on my opposite side. She was all settled with her legs folded close to her chest, her hands folded on the hand of the couch below her head. Her eyes were closed. Was she asleep?
I called out for her only to discover that she wasn't asleep. She lifted herself up, "Where did Di go?"
"She had some work at the firm. She just said it before leaving, you didn't hear?" I asked nervously. "Nope. So, what do you want to do next?" she answered.
I blinked my eyes thoughtfully, "What about a tour of your house?"
"But I thought you had it while you were running?" she said playfully. I clicked my tongue to which she instantly replied, "No issues, I'll give you the tour anyway."
I lifted my head with widened eyes and then returned to the initial position quickly, "You better do!"
We took a round of the ground floor. Their home was just awesome! They had a home theater in their house! What else can anyone ever want? Then we reached the backyard. All the side lanes had flower pots neatly arranged in rows besides other creepers, plants and tress used as decorations.
There was another wooden floor separated from the nature. It had some other wooden furniture. I loved that place the most!
Done with the ground floor, she took me to the second floor. The second floor was solely meant for their personal rooms. So there wasn't much to see except the extended end of the railing portion with the terrace rooftop.
"Wow! You have a very beautiful home!" I said as I settled on the hanging chair of the extended area. "Thank you. Appa runs an interior designing company so we have an advantage over that point." she revealed.
"Pretty awesome!" I appreciated her home for the nth time. Soon after we were walking back downstairs, I saw the door of one room open. It was so peculiar that I couldn't stop from peeking inside. The walls were covered in blue, purple, white and yellow paints vividly spread in an abstract design.
And the most curious of all, were the words written on the walls in white ink. They were too light to be legible but they were in plenty and all over the walls. I had almost entered the room when I felt something really soft on my foot.
I looked down and found Bruno with his one paw kept on my shoes. I was all set to run at full speed but a pair of hands had a tough grip on my arms, restricting any movement.
"Don't!" she directed "He is way smaller in size than you. When he can trust you that you're harmless, then why can't you?"
That hit me hard. As soon as I was calm and still, she let go of me, "Now go ahead and bend down to pet him."
Okay, that was still long to go, "That's a difficult job."
"Just do it, he won't do anything."
I did bend down but I couldn't dare to move my hands still for the next five minutes. That's when she asked abruptly , "Do you trust me Ajey?"
I made a perplexed face. "I said he won't hurt you, so do you trust me with that?" she added.
"Hell yeah."
I don't know why I said that but I knew one thing when I said it, I meant it. It was only when I moved my hand over Bruno's soft golden fur that I realized, I did trust her. Not only in this, but in all spheres. No matter how strange she was, she was meant to be trusted.
Over the past few weeks, all the night walks and meetings with her, all of them made me realize that she was like those personal diaries for me. We know that writing in it won't solve our problems, neither will it compensate us for how we feel, but we still write in it and tell it everything.
And all of it just because that bunch of paper never judges us. Comparably, many a times what we need in times of distress is only that one person who would simply listen to us, with utter patience. Who, we know, can't have all the solutions, but we still set forth every bit of us to them wholly because it makes us feel better. Better about us and our life.
So she became my secret diary. I wrote in her every bit of myself, everyday, and she concealed it all in herself, safe and sound.
//But if the world was ending
You'd come over, right?
You'd come over and you'd stay the night
Would you love me for the hell of it?
All our fears would be irrelevant//
I'm sorry for writing long lyrics. But what to do? I feel every line of these songs is significant and amazing. However, I hope you liked the chapter! Enjoy!
Happy Republic Day to all :)
(P.S: So stupid of me to forget that!)
(P.S: Next part coming soon.)
(P.ALL THE OTHER S' : Love you all❤)
