It was freezing cold outside as my lungs filled with air. I decided to leave the restaurant early so I could get some fresh air. It felt good to get some of my emotions off of my chest, I feel like my mind is more clear with what I want in life. 'Shit, I really need to get more designs done.' I scolded myself as my heels swiveled to head back to my apartment. As my feet carried me to my apartment, my mind kept replaying what happened between Katsuki and I.

"I know I messed up."

"I shouldn't have broken up with you."

'Ugh, why now? Why after 4 years of not talking to each other?' My lips parted to let a gentle sigh escape. This was honestly getting ridiculous.

~~~~~
A loud meow erupted from the bedroom as Kofi heard me come inside. "Hi Kofi!" I smiled and gave him a few scratches behind his ear as I tried to kick off both of my shoes. My (E/C) eyes glanced over to the clock to see it was nearly 11:00PM. 'Might as well start on some designs' I thought as I walked over to my work station, turning on a few lights and turning on my radio. "Keigo said he needed some more designs for warmer weather, I wonder if he would be okay with what I have in mind."
My hands grabbed my sketch book and flipped to a blank page. The soft music that played on my radio echoed throughout my apartment as my pencil sketched out different designs.
One design was a white tanktop that had my signature embroidery, which was the golden wings, sketched over the heart or at the bottom of the tanktop.
Another design was a navy blue short sleeved shirt with a golden rose on the left sleeve and among those design, I designed some jeans, shorts, and hats. "Time to get to work." I hyped myself, knowing I would work myself late into the night. My chair swiveled around as I reached up to grab my desired fabrics and other materials. Photosynthesis by Saba (ft. Jean Deaux) came on as I started to make my designs become actual clothing.
I paused quickly to turn up the radio and returned just as fast to my work. Once I was in the zone, nothing could really distract me. My mind was at peace as I worked on designs and I didn't even notice that a small smirk was painted upon my lips. I couldn't help but think of how Keigo would look in these designs. 'I wonder how he's doing' The smirk grew into a smile as I continued my work.
"Keigo, darling, stop frowning." A woman spoke as she ruffled Keigo's hair. "I can't help but frown, Ma." He sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair, which didn't do much to fix it.
"What's troubling you then?" His mother asked as she sat down next to him. "Is it that girl you've began working with?" Keigo's faced turned deep red as his mother found out what was bothering him. "You're creepy." He laughed a bit.
"It's not creepy, Keigo. It's called a mothers intuition." She cupped her son's face and looked into his eyes. "Talk to me." And with a deep sigh from Keigo, he began.
"I facetimed her a couple of days ago and she had marks on her neck, like she was with someone." His mother nodded and continued to listen. "It bothered me, ma. I know I'm her boss and we've only known each other for over a month, but it bothered me." She sighed and stood up, grabbing Keigo's hands to make him stand up. "You remind me of myself when I was young."
"What do you mean?"
"I always refused to believe I was allowed to have emotions." Keigo's mother squeezed his hands. "It's safe to say you have feelings for this (Y/N), Keigo." She smiled up at her son. "Do you think I do?" He asked as his cheeks burned a soft pink.
"Well, you spoke very highly of her when you showed me her designs. I haven't seen you smile like that since I got you that fish when you were 8." Keigo's mother giggled as she reminisced of the memories when her son was so young.
"Ah, I miss that damn fish." He said with a smile on his face. "Keigo, dear." His mother brought him into a tight hug. "There are no limits to how soon or how late you feel things. If you have feelings for this girl and you don't want to lose her, then show her how you feel."
His eyes softened as he hugged her tightly. "Thank you, ma."
"Anything for you, my darling." She responded
It was pushing 2:31am as I flat ironed my signature design onto a pair of striped shorts. My eyes snapped to the clock. "Good god." I muttered as I flopped down into a nearby chair. '20 new designs.. all done.' My face lit up as my hands reached for my phone.
No new notifications.
Well, at least from him.
3 new texts from Katsuki.
My eyes involuntary rolled. I couldn't comprehend why he's back in my life now when he's still trying to get his life together. Sure, he's trying to start a business but he hasn't made any ground yet.
What if we get back together and a business of his kickstarts and it's back to him focusing on himself... leaving me... all over again.
My thumb tapped on the texts reluctantly.
Hey loser, how're you?
9:36pm
New York is sick. I hope we can see each other when you're in town.
10:02pm
Hope you're okay
10:15pm
"Good lord Katsuki. Get a grip." A hint of anger crept up as I read the last message.
I'm fine, Katsuki.
2:35am
Setting my phone down, I stood up and began picking up all of the new designs, placing them up on hangers. A sudden buzz from my phone caught my attention.
1 new text from Keigo.
I couldn't help but smile as I opened the message.
We're leaving a week early, pack your bags and visit family before the week is over. See you Monday Sweetcheeks.
