(17) Room where it happens

~ELIZA~

She woke up to the sun raising brightly and she smiled now Eliza wasn't much of a morning person but today was going be good she knew it she messed mar mar a goodmorning rest before she got dressed in a blue sweater with white flowers and a pair of Jean's with her hair left down she ate some corn flakes saying hi to peggy who said it back almost immediately she was dressed in a yellow crop top and white Jean's and her hair was up they talked for a while before heading to elizas car and driving to school both the girls were very excited today was the day Angelica came back although she'd get picked up by Eliza after school eliza walked peggy to her class saying her goodbyes before heading to her own

She had this class with mulligan along with second period and third with Alexander and Peggy and then lasted 4th with Lauren's and Burr and of course laf but he had gone onto the college trip after hearing the mention of France she talked along with Mulligan they laughed and talked for a while before the bell rang she headed to her second period kissing Alexander  hello

but noticing that he barely responded but also that he had kissed longer then usual almost as if he was savoring she pulled away giving him a weird look at the same time peggy came in and jumped on his back as he just smiled softly a troublesome look on Peggy looked to Eliza but she just shrugged her shoulders in response being just as confused Eliza had about 3 classes with Alexander she'll ask him what's wrong at lunch especially because during this time him and peggyy could be causing chaos peggy and Eliza talked amongst each other

Sooner or later she was at her last class accidently bumping into someone rolling her eyes seeing it was Jefferson before forcing a smile "sorry she said politely and Jefferson gave her an unreadable look almost as if it was pity " no no I'm sorry um I hope you have a good rest of your day he said before quickly leaving which left her confused why is everyone acting so weird? she walked in sitting between burr and Lauren's slamming her bag down causing burr attention ashe looked away from his book

"does Alexander seem off to you guys? She asked looking to them as Lauren's nodded his head at the same time burr quickly said no not making direct eye contact with her and she squinted her eyes at him "do you know something? She said and he shook his head leaving his face In his book "nope nothing at all he said quickly again and she looked to Lauren's who was just as weirded out about it as her she shrugged it off before turning back to class just in time to take notes

The bell had rung signaling lunch and she smiled basically running out of class with Lauren's to the cafeteria meeting up with peggy and mulligan Lauren's and peggy shared a quick kiss and Eliza looked around for Alexander and rolled her eyes not finding him before walking inside seeing a bunch of newspapers thrown everywhere what the she sat at her usual table with her sister and friends watching as they all grabbed a paper and began reading as more people started piling in doing the same she hadn't even noticed the other brunette walking in with her friends or the people reading along

she was in shock in a trance once she had finish she had tears in her eyes as her body began shaking with anger and sadness she felt a hand on hers snapping her out of her trance and saw peggy looking at her with pity and anger before she heard a bunch of boos she looking seeing Alexander walk in and her breath hitched she got up about to charge towards him but just ended up breaking down in tears instead mulligan and Lauren's quickly comforting her as peggy went to him starting to yell at him she dug her head in mulligan's shirt just trying to calm down and ignore everything that was happening she quickly began counting to herself trying to calm down
Un-deux-trois-quatre-cinq-six-sept-huit-neuf. It was something her mom had taught her she hadn't caught much of what peggy had said but she heard the last bit hearing peggy say that if she ever saw him near Eliza or anyone ever again she'd kill him herself and that his mother would be so disappointed in him the last part piercing Alexander in the heart as his eyes watered before peggy slapped him and walked towards her older sister beginning to comfort her

Alexander stared at the two sisters feeling guilt and humiliation regretting everything he did (achem as he fucken should) peggy watched this giving him a death glare seeing his eyes move somewhere else and following them seeing Maria her and the boys quickly shot Maria another glare before going back to comforting her sister Eliza had finally begun to calm down before they all heard a voice of yelling just in time to see james almost hit Maria as both the schuyler sisters gasped

before seeing Madison punch james as burr and Jefferson started yelling at him what was going on Eliza thought before watching burr say some shit to James watching as James face held actual fear now Elizabeth didn't know James that well but she knew that he was the biggest most sexist man whore she knew and that was just her being nice She watched as James stormed off and She made Eye contact with Maria wow she was actually really pretty the way her wavy brown hair looked in the cafeteria sun and even though they were both crying this girl Maria Reynolds looked like a goddess wait wait what the hell are you saying your boyfriend cheated on YOU with HER yes she was beautiful but that doesn't make it right Eliza broke eye contact before seeing Jefferson and Madison and burr leave with Maria

Eliza looked to her sister with a look that said did you see this shit? She looked around the cafeteria noticing everyone else also watching it happen before looking back towards Eliza which caused her to cringe " okay guys shows over the principal said dismissing kids to class before heading to Eliza and her friends

"Elizabeth I'm sorry to hear what happened you and your friends can take the rest of the day off she said and Eliza nodded and the principal left Eliza shakily walked outside of the cafeteria before heading home she wasnt able to drive so she just let peggy drive as she laid on mulligan mulligan and her had a strange very comfortable bond they were best friends and very comfortable with each other but of course it didnt top her and Alexander's bond or what was left of it if there even was a bond anymore she thought to herself as her eyes watered again

They got home and Eliza went to her room immediately closing the door and locking it before laying on her bed and staring at her ceiling her eyes repeatedly watering she shook her head trying not to cry again before failing brutally her body started to shake and she felt tears fall down repeatedly she let out a sob getting up and throwing down all the pictures of her and Alexander all the letters he gave her and the gifts the pictures she threw it all to one side of her room

why why why why after everything we been through after everything I should just erase him erase everything he gave me erase myself out of his fucked up narrative she thought to herself and she grabbed a match lighting it almost throwing it to everything he gave her before it went out and she threw the now burnt out match on the floor letting out multiple sobs before putting her arms on her head trying to control her breathing before failing after and let out a scream/cry and knocking everything on the floor before falling on the floor herself putting her head in her hands and sobbing uncontrollably

She hadn't heard the banging on her door begging for her to be let in or even hearing it open peggy  walking in heartbroken over the sight they saw the she went to her quickly engulfing her in a hug trying to calm her down before Angelica walked in mumbling an "I came as soon as I heard" before seeing Eliza and Peggy and hugging both of them the schuyler sisters all shared the same pain  the loss of someone they loved whether it be boyfriend friend or even best friend Eliza sobbed while peggy let some of her own tears fall them being unnoticed  by the boys but as Lauren's and mulligan watched with pity one question on all of there minds Alexander was one stupid bastard
