Chapter 10 - Trust

Corpse's POV:

I slip open the guy's throat as I kept walking, which one of these rooms is it? I kept walking around the halls when I got a scent

Fundy... Thats his scent for sure, I looked around from where it came when I got to what looked like a turn in the hallway, I got my gun ready as I shot but it wasnt Fundy

I looked there to see Dream who blocked the bullet with some handcuffs that he wore "Dream?" I questioned "Corpse?" was his reply

"What are you doing here?!" He asked "I came here to get you out" I replied, I was going to explain that I wasnt going to take him to my father but instead was going to take him home

But before that he suddenly jumped on to me as a hug "W-wait, Dre-" "Please just take me! I dont want to be here!" He said, I didnt knew how to answer so I just hugged him back

I was thinking of letting go when I felt a drop on my shoulder, is he... Of course he is, after such an experience anyone would

"Dream~ Why did you run off like that? Am I not enough?" We heard a voice as I turned around to see Fundy "You, You did this to him" I said

"Does it matter to you? He doesnt even know you, the only reason he is hugging you is because he doesnt like it here, do you think Dream actually cares?" His words were true and I knew that but...

Why did it still hurt me?

"Dream come here! He is only going to take you back to his father, he is going to lock you up in that stupid cell again!" Fundy calls for Dream who shots him but of couse Fundy dodges it

Wait.... When the fuck did Dream took my gun from my hand?! Oh well should have expected that from him

"Stay away from me" Dream said, he was shaking, of course he was scared infact I am amazed he manage to shoot without missing, even at a state like this he can concentrate

"I won't take him back to my dad, I came here to help him as an apology for what I did" I said Dream looks back at me in disbelieve while Fundy looks annoyed

"I dont trust you, Dream listen he is lying! I promise I wont hurt you anymore! I promise I will do my very best to take things slow with you and I wont chain you up either!"

And he calls me a liar...

While talking I heard Wil call out to me "Corpse, there you are! The guards are-" he stops as he looks at us

Dream was pointing my gun at Fundy, I was standing behind him and he was in front of us, Wil came from my direction along with Techno

"What the fuck is going on here?!" Wil questions I look at Fundy who stands there wide eyed "Thats it! Dream shoot Corpse!" He yells

"What?!" Dream shouts as he looks back at me then at Fundy, he is making him confused... "Dream dont let him get to you!" Wil said but Techno stops him from saying anything else

"Dream, can you hear me?" He says as Dream nods "I want you to shoot the one you think is lying" he says, "Techno what the hell?!" "No Wil listen, its his own decision, and I know that Dream, as my rivel and best friend can do this"

I didnt spoke nor did Fundy or the others, we just stood there waiting from Dream, I close my eyes ready for it if he picks me when I hear a gun shot

I open my eyes to see Fundy bleeding out, but he wasnt dead as Dream shot him at his lower abdominal region "Dream..." I looked at him who was trying to catch his breath

After Techno said "You did good" he picked up Dream on his back, we didnt cheer, no one even smiled we just left Fundy there and walked off

Dream's POV:

Techno puts me down on a car next to Corpse driven by a girl who he called Rae, I still wasnt feeling too good, I was really dizzy but I tried to keep it down

As Corpse said he didnt took me to the mansion but instead took me to what looked like an apartment building, I somehow got out of the car, Corpse said his good night to his friend and proceed to enter the building

I tried my best to hold myself up knowing fully well that Corpse wasnt in a proper shape either so I didnt wanted to be a burden and have him carry me

On entering his apartment I suppose I sat down on the couch as he turned on the living room lights "Your house is pretty far off so stay here for the night, Make yourself at home" he says

I was still very tired but I wasnt feeling well enough to be able to sleep, Corpse might have notice this because he walked up to me and sat on the couch

"Hey, go get a bath then I'll bandage that up for ya" he said pointing at my neck, oh yeah... The hickies

I thanked him and walked into the bathroom as I turned on the water, I took off Fundy's shirt and pants and immediately got it without wasting anytime

A few minutes later I hear a knock on the door "Yeah?" I asked "The clothes are outside, you're kinda short so I just got a hoodie is that ok?" He asked

"Aye! I am not short!" I yelled back I hear a soft chuckle as his footsteps faded off, My heart skipped a beat as I felt my face flush

Dammit, that was kinda cute..

Corpse huh? Maybe he aint that bad after all
