Chapter 2: Fight!

With Gremlin giving the green light to start, all the contestants did something which no one expected. No one truly moved from the spot where they were standing, instead, everyone observed the other teams.

Steven was looking around when he gasped.

"So Garnet is this the future you saw?"

Garnet put her hands on her hips when she answered.

"That's right Steven, it makes sense in retrospect. In the tournament with Goku, their space was limited to just one stage. But we have a whole planet to walk on, it's better to observe these terrains instead of engaging in meaningless combat."

Jasper's eager smile disappeared when she grunted.

"Wait, what?! I didn't come all this way to sightsee!"

Garnet stepped off the platform while advising.

"If you choose to fight then don't complain to us when you get eliminated early."

Lapis casually stepped off the platform ledge while Amethyst asked.

"So what was the plan again?"

Pearl informed.

"We all stick together while we look around and if we encounter an enemy we split into groups of two and scatter in opposite directions."

Aquamarine was flying when she asked.

"Is the Jasper coming with us or not?"

Everyone turned around to look at Jasper who looked at Steven who just smiled awkwardly which made her groan.

"Oh fine! But if we encounter an enemy they're all mine!"

Steven laughed.

"Alright sounds like a group field trip!"

All the members of Universe 8 began walking away from the starting platform and this was something Ghazan noticed. He spoke out on it as well.

"Hey, the teams are walking away. We should initiate battle now."

Bolin disagreed.

"Um no actually the logical thing to do here is to just walk away too. You know to conserve energy and whatnot."

Ghazan took a few steps forward while correcting.

"That's wrong boy, we won't win if we think like that. We have to take the initiative and crush our enemies."

Korra advised.

"Hey uh, mind getting your man?"

Before Zaheer could say a word Ghazan clenched both of his fists before raising them into the air. Lava was being spread out under the platform which made Toph warm.

"Guys, this platform is about to explode. Like really badly."

Aang quickly reacted by jumping up and palming the stage with a blast of wind which gave everyone a boost to jump off. The entire platform exploded due to lava erupting from directly below. Bobo collapsed on his back while groaning.

"Hey, what are you tryna do kill us?!"

Gwen was standing on a pink platform in midair holding Kevin while sighing.
