Kiara was walking into basically every shop whereas I just lamely walked along. I hadn't brought anything, though. What was the whole point when in about 9 months or so they wouldn't even fit me?

"You're a very quiet girl," Kiara shook me out of my thoughts. I stared at her, shrugging softly. Don't let your guard down, it's highly weak. Kiara sighed but continued to shop. I held my stomach tightly. I wasn't even showing yet but I knew that when I started to show, I would have to start telling people.

We went home after a few hours and I felt guilty because I thought I had ruined Kiara's day. She had bag after bag hanging from her arms and I had taken some for her.

The second we walked in the door, my heart stopped. There was like, heaps of people in there. They all had on leather jackets, giving off a dark look.

Kiara looked unphased so I quietly followed her. The next thing I know, someone's arm grabbed mine. I sucked in a breath, holding it. My blood ran cold and I swallowed thickly.

"You're a new bird," someone said, turning me around. I darted my eyes around so I didn't have to look at him.

"Are you ignoring me?" His voice was coated with slight irritation. Adam eyes landed on mine but I turned away from him. I'm not weak.

The boy's grip on my arm was starting to really hurt but I held back a wince. That would be exactly what he wanted and there was no way I was giving it to him.

"Lucas, let her go," someone demanded. I snapped my head up and saw that Connor was standing there. His usual playful demeanor was gone. Lucas stared at me before letting my arm go. I didn't rub it.

"Who is she?" The guy, Lucas, asked. I stood there, my hands now on my stomach protectively. Connor leaned over and whispered something into his ear. Lucas' face morphed into one of understanding before smiling gratefully at me. I simply stared.

He and Connor stared at me as I walked upstairs. I could feel people's confused gazes basically burning eyes into the back of my head but I didn't care. I just wanted to be free of these people.

I was too focused on getting out of here that I ran into someone. I nearly fell to the ground but someone gripped my forearms before I fell. I hissed in pain. My arm still hurt from when Lucas had held me.

I looked up and met the menacing eyes of Tristan. A whimper was threatning to escape but I held it in. He looked furious.

"Watch where you're going, idiot," he spat. He pushed me to the side and I fell into the wall. I flinched when someone's shrill voice screamed out.

"Watch it, Tristan!" It was Kiara. I forgot I had her bags still. She stood in front of me, gently cradling me close to her. I stared at my feet, finding them oh-so-interesting.

"She got in my way," was his lame reply. Even I knew that was lame. Kiara ignored him and carefully lead me to my room. She opened my door and looked around.

"Here's your bags," I whispered, holding them out to her. She smiled and put them down, turning to me.

"Thank-you, sweetie. Now, about Tristan. Don't take whatever he says to heart. He's the le- He's got severe anger issues and always have since.. Don't worry about it. But just try to avoid him as much as you can," she explained, sitting down on my bed. Since what? I'll admit that perked my interests but I didn't say anything.

I slowly sat down next to her. She smiled and tilted her head.

"What's your middle name?" She asked randomly. I shrugged.
