As Colette contently slept after reading the journal last night, did she encounter rather weird and strange dreams. Those dreams were related to everything that she had read from within that journal. These dreams to better explain them were so odd yet vivid to her, and it was like she was seeing another place in time. Not to mention that everything that she has read, has opened up her mind to the strange and unknown. For so long she has been raised to believe that of an average human being, and like all humans they were ignorant in their beliefs. But now her thoughts and views have changed. All of this was thanks to 049, and the journal that he has made her. Once more, what would happen to her if she was to get closer to 049?

It wasn't long until she heard the distant sounds of voices and footsteps, slowly emerge from the other side of her cell door, Colette who was somewhat asleep slowly but surely woke up due to these sounds. For she knew that the next day has arrived. As she opened her eyes did she shift to lay onto her side for a moment, before fully sitting up upon her bed. Colette who was slowly waking up, was now thinking about everything that she has read within her journal from last night. All of everything was still fresh within her mind. Today was the day that she would finally be able to see her mother, as well as go through so many tests.
Was she looking forward to those tests?, that she didn't fully know for sure. All that she did know was that today was going to be busy. Especially for her.

Colette who was now sitting on her bed, softly placed her arms over her head in order to stretch them of stiffness. Once she had stretched them enough did she look at her door, as she watched it open.

There was two guards who were standing within her doorway now, as they were looking at her. "Come with us."

"Okay." softly nodded Colette in reply to the armed guards who stood before her. She knew where she was going, for they would be escorting her to see her mother. Which in truth she was looking forward to see her. Of course she was looking forward to it!, for she hadn't seen her mother in so long. Due to these people keeping the both of them apart.

As she stood up and approached the guards, did she silently watch the guard close her cell door the moment that she has stepped out of the room. Once that was done did she follow the two guards as they led her to where her mother was where ever that was. The guard in front of her walked in a calm gait, while holding the rifle firmly within his hands much like his colleague who was behind her. While Colette was in between the both of them as they traveled to the cell or room where her mother was.

The walk there was rather long as surprising as that was, due to the fact that there was so many rooms and halls, along with elevators to take them to the right floor. Honestly, it still baffled Colette that she was in a place like this. This place or building was so strange to her, due to how these people ran things. Just what kind of place was she in? She just didn't know, and she probably would never know unless someone was to tell her. But there was one thing that she did pick up on. These people enjoyed control.

"Here we are." spoke the guard who was in front of her. Colette blinked at the door in front of them, for the door looked to be normal unlike her heavy looking cell door. "Go on in."

"O-Okay.", replied Colette to the guard who looked back at her now after he had spoke again to her.

Colette softly approached the door and opened it, and as she done so was she actually surprised once she had entered the room. The room that her mother was in, looked to be that of a normal hospital room. Her mother was sitting on the bed while wearing a hospital gown and looked to be well. All in a instant, Colette's eyes became teary as she ran to her mother who looked at her in shock before it changed into great relief. The both of them hugged each other, with smiles on their faces as tears escaped both of their eyes.

"I'm so glad you're alright!" exclaimed Colette with happy sobs as she hugged her mother close to her. "I was so worried!?!"

Colette's mother was clinging onto her so tightly as she cried in her relief. "I was so worried as well, Colette!?!"

Colette softly shifted to look at her mother with a smile before she looked at her somewhat seriously. Despite the tears that were still falling from her eyes. "Have they done anything to you?"

She watched as her mother looked at her before shaking her head a few times. "I don't think so? All that I do know is that they brought me back from an attack?"

"Oh! Were you having a heart attack when you called me that time?" asked Colette curiously.

"I believe so? I don't really remember it all that well?", replied her mother who had a troubled look upon her features.

"What do you remember?" asked Colette as she softly wiped the tears off of her mother's face.

"I remember calling you but it is really hazy? All of everything is really fuzzy. I'm sorry dear." frowned her mother now as she looked at Colette.

"Aw it is okay mom." softly smiled Colette. "I'm just glad that you are alright."

Colette smiled at her mother as she watched her smile back at her in return, the both of them were of course holding each other's hands now as they sat beside each other on the bed. With each other's comfort, their tears and worries went away at that moment. "Where are we?", soon asked her mother now. "I've asked the doctors here, but they refuse to give me an answer."

"To be honest I don't know either?" frowned Colette in her reply to her mother. "This place is unlike anything that I have seen?"

"Is it?" asked her mother interested. "I haven't really left this room so I don't know what it is like?"

"Really?" blinked Colette in her surprise. "So you have never left this room?"

"Nope." replied her mother as she looked at the door which was now closed, probably due to the guards closing it once Colette entered the room. "The doctors who I have seen so far have told me to rest."

"I see?", replied Colette who looked at the door along with her mother. The both of them were now staring at the door for a little while. It wasn't until Colette looked at her mother as she smiled a bit. "Well all that I can say is that this place is huge and everyone here does things differently?"

"Oh how so?" asked her mother who looked at her curiously.

"I am in a cell for starters with a metal door?" nervously smiled Colette with her eyes closed.

"What!?!" gasped her mother now who looked at her shocked. "Why are you in a cell!?!"

"I don't know mom?", replied Colette honestly. "Like I said this place is strange?"

Colette watched her mother as she looked at her in disbelief, and she some what laughed as her mother gave her a firm look while saying. "You didn't kill anyone, did you?"

Laughing at her mother's face did she reply while laughing, "No I didn't! Like I could kill someone! I mean I would if someone hurt you but they hadn't!"

"Colette!" blinked her mother in a gasp before continuing. "You will do no such thing!"

Colette smiled at her mother as she softly squeezed her mother's hand before saying, "Okay I won't!"

She watched as her mother's face eased to her words as she smiled at her while softly saying to her, "Good." The both of them were smiling now, as they enjoyed each other's company. Colette could not deny at that moment that she had missed her mother greatly these past few weeks. Just to be able to talk to her again, made her feel so much better. But deep down she couldn't help but think about what her mother had said to her earlier, for she had never left from the room that she was in. Why was that?
Was her mother not allowed to leave the room? It honestly made her wonder about it.

Then there was the talk that they had shared, for her mother had what she believed was a heart attack. But she didn't know for sure if she was having one or not?

Colette felt funny as she thought about it more, for her mother was always good at remembering things. Then again heart attacks could do a bit of damage, if they was bad enough? Plus she couldn't shake the fact that these doctors probably did something to her mother, but she didn't know that for sure. All of this thinking was making her all the more worried for her mother and her safety. After all these people have shown that they could be cruel, especially if they don't get their way.

Colette who had been silent this whole time while thinking, blinked to the sound of the door opening. It wasn't long until she heard her mother speak, "Oh Dr. Collins! This is my daughter!"

Looking over some what quickly in a silent gasp, did Colette see Dr. Collins enter the room with that grand looking smile of his. That smile made chills go down her spine, due to her remembering what he had said to her before about her mother. That time when he had threatened her.

"Ah! Yes her and I have met already!" chuckled Dr. Collins who smiled at her mother in a gentlemanly manner.

"Is that so?" smiled her mother who was unaware of what they have talked about before.

"Yep! Colette is a charming lady!" grinned Dr. Collins to her mother. His eyes soon shifted to look at Colette who felt greatly uncomfortable.

"Isn't she!" softly laughed her mother with her eyes closed. "I'm so proud of her you know?"

"I bet you are!" smiled Dr. Collins as he pulled up a chair just so he could sit in front of them.

Colette was slow to look away from him as he sat down in the chair in front of them, she then looked at her mother as she replied, "Oh I am! I just know that she will be a successful doctor one day!"

Dr. Collins chuckled at her as he crossed his right leg over his left, while he crossed his arms over his chest with a smug looking smile. "I don't doubt that in the slightest? Hell maybe I can help her out?"

"Would you?" asked her mother with a smile.

"Of course! Her and I are friends after all?", replied Dr. Collins as he looked at Colette now as his smile grew in size. The moment that he looked at her did Colette feel a bit of nausea from within her stomach. Just him looking at her was enough to rub her the wrong way.

"That's wonderful! Isn't that great dear?" asked her mother now as she looked at Colette with a smile. Colette who had been looking at Dr. Collins with a blank face, suddenly blinked and looked at her mother in light surprise. She then nervously smiled a bit as she spoke softly to her mother, "Y-yeah."

Dr. Collins merely chuckled which made Colette look at him in a glance with a frown, while her mother looked at him curiously with her smile still evident upon her lips as she asks him. "So Dr. Collins what brings you here?"

"Oh I am just here to check up on you? How have you been feeling?", replied Dr. Collins as he looks at her with his right eyebrow raised. He honestly was trying his best to look professional and kind, but that did little to hide the truth from Colette. For she knew better.

                                                                                             ****

"I feel alright actually?", smiled her mother as she looked at Dr. Collins.

"That is good to hear!" chuckled Dr. Collins as he smiled at her with his eyes closed. As his eyes opened back up did he look at Colette now. "How about you? How are you feeling today?"

Colette was silent as she looked between the two of them, but her eyes were slow to narrow at him once he looked at her. It wasn't long after that, did he ask her his question. Closing her eyes in order to calm herself, did she say her reply, "I'm alright."

"Are you sure?" asked Dr. Collins again with his right eyebrow raised again. "I am a doctor so please don't hesitate to tell me if something is wrong?"

Ugh! Him being friendly to me is the worst!, shuddered her thoughts as felt herself cringe from the inside. Not to mention that she knew better than to trust him, for this guy was as two faced as they come. "I'm fine. Really.", replied Colette the second time to him. She even looked at him fully to show that she was speaking the truth and wasn't lying about anything. Course it was a small lie not that she would tell him that, due to her feeling sick to her stomach but that happened anytime that he was near.

"I see. I'm glad to hear that you are okay." coolly smiled Dr. Collins whose eyes were closed now.

Colette looked at her mother now, for the mere sight of him made her feel bad. Her mother however seemed to like his company, but that was due to him being a manipulative asshole. Dr. Collins was just someone who she could not stand, but she had a reason to feel that way around him.

"Oh yeah that's right!" suddenly spoke Dr. Collins now as he looked at her mother with a cheeky smile. "Did you know that your daughter is very special?"

Colette was quick to blink fast to his words and she watched her mother look at him with great interest. "How so!"

Dr. Collins merely smiled more at her mother which made Colette frown sharply as she looked at him now. His words were then quick to leave his lips. "There is a gentleman here who simply refuses to talk to anyone! However he absolutely loves to speak to your daughter!"

"Really!" exclaimed her mother with wide eyes and a smile. She then looked at Colette who looked at her with even wider eyes now, for her words took her by surprise. "That's wonderful dear! Tell me is he handsome?"

"MOM!?!" loudly gasped Colette to her mother now for she had no idea why her mother had asked such a question. Her face was priceless for she looked to be greatly embarrassed now. "He's just a friend!"

In all truth she didn't know what kind of relationship that they fully had, and so saw it as a type of friendship. Then there was 049, for he wasn't really a human. Just how would she explain this to her mother to where she understood it? This was complicated, it really was.

Leave it to Dr. Collins to open his large mouth!, grumbled Colette's flustered mind. This guy just enjoyed giving her a hard time. It honestly was like he got a thrill off of it.

Colette looked at her mother now who was softly laughing at her daughter's reaction, and then there was her face for it was a red color now. Then there was Dr. Collins who watched the whole thing with a smile on his lips. That smile of his really bothered her, due to him acting all high and mighty.

"Hopefully I get to meet this man one day?" softly smiled her mother now as she looked at Colette. To her words did Colette nervously smile, due to her not knowing what to say to her mother exactly. 049 was a strange individual, and she didn't really know if they would fully get along or not. Then again, 049 would most likely treat her mother well since it would make her happy.

"I'm sure you will meet him one day?", spoke Dr. Collins as he looked at her mother now with his smile still on his lips. "I'll be sure to introduce you?"

"That would be wonderful!" grinned her mother in reply with a smile.

Colette was silent now as she looked at Dr. Collins with her eyes faintly narrowed. Just what is Dr. Collins planning right now? It honestly bugged her that he would introduce 049 to her.

The sound of a door knocking gained all of their attentions now, as they looked at the door in question. Colette was quick to blink the moment that the door opened, to reveal the two guard who had brought her there just a little while ago. It was than that she remembered what would happen next. Softly she stood up and she smiled at her mother, while ignoring Dr. Collins who was no doubt looking at her as well. "I got to go now, but I will be sure to see you again!"

"Okay dear.", replied her mother with a sweet smile. "Please take care okay?"

Colette couldn't help but nod to her with a grin on her face, as she softly hugged her mother around the neck which of course her mother was quick to return it whole heartedly. "I love you mom!"

The sound of her mother's laughter was a soothing sound to her ears, and she remembered it when she was just a little girl and her mother would take time to play with her, in order to make her feel better from a bad day. "I love you too!"

As they said goodbye to each other, did Colette softly walk away from her mother as she approached the guards who were waiting for her. However the sound of Dr. Collins laughing made her frown as he waved bye to her, for she looked back over her shoulders. "See you next time!", he chimed after her with his eyes closed and his so called 'harmless' smile. Just seeing him do that while sitting with her mother definitely made her worry grow. She didn't trust him, not at all.

Walking out of the room, did Colette look at the guard as he closed the door behind her. Once the door was closed did he begin leading her to the next room, where the testing for her blood would start. Honestly she had so much on her mind right now and she had Dr. Collins to thank for that. The fact that Dr. Collins was in the same room as her mother worried her beyond belief. Hopefully he wouldn't do anything to her mother, but what if he did?

He threatened her before and so he could easily do something to her mother when she wasn't looking right?

Just thinking that chilled Colette to her very core. She didn't want anything bad to happen to her mother, she really didn't. As she continued to think these things to herself, was she blind to them reaching the room where the testing of her blood would happen.

It was then that her thoughts were all of a sudden disrupted to the sound of the guard's voice who was standing in front of her. "Enter this room.", he instructed as he looked toward her while holding his gun close to him. His colleague who was behind her remained silent as he looked at the both of them.

"Oh right! Sorry!" apologized Colette as she opened the door and walked inside of it. The moment that she entered it, was she in what looks like a doctor's room where doctor's would do their check ups on patients.

Colette looked around the room curiously before taking a seat in a chair that was within the room. As she sat there in silence, did she look at the closed door with interest while waiting for whoever it was who would be testing her blood. However she didn't wait for long though for the door opened and two doctor's entered the room. Though she knew one of them, for it was Dr. Cade. But the other doctor was someone who she didn't know, for he seemed to be the distant type.

"Hi Dr. Cade!" lightly smiled Colette for she felt comforted to see a familiar face.

"Hello.", replied Dr. Cade with a tiny smile of her own. Though her features looked to be different now. Perhaps Dr. Cade was having a bad day? It really was hard to tell, but it could be possible since Dr. Cade was forced out of the meeting room yesterday.

Colette could only smile at Dr. Cade in hopes that it would cheer her up. "So you are doing the testing on my blood?"

Dr. Cade merely nodded to her while looking at the other doctor who was getting the necessary equipment out for the testing. "We both are.", was Dr. Cade's reply.

"Oh okay." nodded Colette who kept her smile on her face, though it was small but it still was evident upon her lips.

As Colette sat in her seat, did she watch Dr. Cade walk over to the other doctor who was preoccupied with what he was doing. However he did look at Dr. Cade for a moment before returning to what he was doing. Colette could feel the awkwardness in the room right now, but it went away some as the other doctor turned his attention to her now. "I am Dr. Hall."

"It is a pleasure to meet you." smiled Colette. "So what exactly will you be doing?", she asked.

"We are going to do another blood test and do some tests on it.", replied Dr. Hall professionally.

"Okay. Um would it be okay if you can show me my blood when it changes?" curiously asks Colette.

"Of course." nodded Dr. Hall as he looks at her respectfully. While Dr. Cade was getting Colette's right arm ready for the blood test.

"Thank you." nodded Colette with her smile returning onto her face. Dr. Hall returned the gesture while replying. "You're welcome."

Silently Colette sat there while they did the blood test on her right arm, once it was done did she look at Dr. Cade and Dr. Hall curiously as they worked. She then looked at her arm where the small bandage was located, before returning her attention on both doctors who were in the room with her.

Dr. Hall was a new face to her as well as he was tall, with short brown hair with cool brown eyes. And like all doctors he wore a white doctors coat, with a black shirt on underneath it along with black slacks and expensive looking black shoes. He was a distant looking guy with an aloof aura about him. Even though he was distant and aloof, she felt like he was a level headed man. He was even respectful.

"Colette.", coolly spoke Dr. Hall who turned his attention to her while holding the vial of blood.

"Yes? Oh!" gasped Colette as Dr. Hall approached her and showed her the vial which held her blood within it.

This was the first time she has seen anything like this before. Her blood was not a solid red like that of normal blood, and yet it held onto the red color but only lightly. Its color was a light purple which was vastly different from that of any blood known to man. Dr. Hall was looking at the vial as well with her. He then looked at Colette who was surprised by what she has seeing. She never knew that her blood did this, and it made her wonder if her blood was always like that as she grew up.

"Have you seen anything like this before?" asked Colette now as she looked at Dr. Hall curiously.  She honestly wanted to know his thoughts on this.

"I haven't.", replied Dr. Hall who looked at the vial again with great focus. "This is new to me as well."

"Any idea why it does that?" inquired Dr. Cade as she stood beside Dr. Hall who shrugged his broad shoulders in reply to her.

"Nope. The only thing that I can think of is that it has something to do with the oxygen but I'm not entirely sure?", replied Dr. Hall as he handed the vial to Dr. Cade now.

Dr. Cade looked at the vial for a moment before walking over to the equipment, that she could use to look at the blood in great detail. As she does this does Dr. Hall look at Colette who was watching Dr. Cade now with a thoughtful look on her face. "We will let you know what we find out in a few days. Do you have any questions?"

"No I don't!", replied Colette who shook her head to him with a smile. But she looked up in thought before deciding to ask something. "Actually?"

Dr. Hall tilted his head to her while standing in front of her. "Yes?"

Colette felt like she could ask this to him, for she wondered what he would say. "Do you think that my blood doing that is the cause of making my mother and I sick?"

"Could be?", replied Dr. Hall as he crossed his arms over his chest with his eyes closed. "Perhaps you have way to much stuff within your blood which is overwhelming your immune system?"

"Oh? Is that possible?" blinked Colette with wide eyes.

Dr. Hall opened his eyes as he looked at Colette, though he kept his arms crossed over his chest. "Anything is possible? We won't know for sure until after the testing is done?"

"Okay.", replied Colette before asking. "How many more tests will there be?"

Dr. Hall was swift in his response, "At most 4 more? It depends on how much we find?"

Colette nodded to him with a smile. "Thank you, Dr. Hall and Dr. Cade!"

"Of course." was the brisk reply from Dr. Hall who gave her a small smirk.

Dr. Cade jumped lightly to her voice but she lightly laughed before returning her attention on her work. "You're welcome!"

Colette some what laughed at Dr. Cade and her reaction, for she must of startled her. That and she must be to focused on what she was doing, so zoned out. Dr. Hall removed his arms from his chest as he walked over to the door and looked back at Colette who was now following him.

                                                                                            ****

Opening the door for Colette, Dr. Hall looked at her as she stepped out of the room. "I will be sure to keep you updated."

"Thank you! Really!" smiled Colette.

Dr. Hall nodded to her respectfully as he decided to stand there and wait there with Colette until the two guards were to arrive. Once the guards came, did he nodded to Colette which was his way of saying goodbye. Colette of course was quick to wave goodbye to him before following the guards to the next location.

So much has literally happened to her today, that she was starting to feel tired already. But she had to push that to the side now, for there were still things that needed to be done. As she followed the guards did it dawn on her that she would be with 049 again. Afterwards would she be busy reading the journal again and writing notes. Speaking of the journal, did she remember Dr. Collins. No doubt he still wanted the journal, why else would he show up when she was with her mother earlier?
Again that must of been his way of reminding her of his threat?

Colette pondered on it as she looked at the guard who was in front of her as they walked down the corridor, and that was when a thought popped up within her head. That thought was basically her telling 049 about Dr. Collins threat. She knew that if she did, there was a chance that 049 may do something to him. But the question was, should she do that?

It was of course true what 049 had said, for she would never asked him to kill someone. She could never do that, but this was her mother after all.

However her mother did pop up within her head again after thinking that, for her mother didn't want her to kill people. Her mother was adamant about it as well. Closing her eyes and letting out a sigh, Colette didn't know what to do.

Her mother was the only one that she had left, and if anything was to happen to her it would utterly destroy her. All that she could do at this moment was pray that her mother would be okay, and that Dr. Collins would not hurt her. If however he does hurt her, she would never forgive him and that was a promise!

After a few minutes of walking did they reach the room that they were heading to, and once they reached there did the guards leave after Colette had entered the room. Like yesterday, Colette was in the same room as 049 who was already standing there in his cuffs and locks like before. Colette smiled the moment that 049 saw her enter the room, as she closed the door behind her. She could tell that he was elated right away for he walked over to her while speaking, "Ah! Colette! How are you?"

"I'm okay.", replied Colette to 049 who stood before her with his eyes closed.

She watched him as 049 opened his eyes and it was then that he asked her due to his curiosity, "Tell me? Did you see your mother?"

"I did! She is okay!" grinned Colette with her eyes closed. 049 allowed a chuckle to escape him as he closed his eyes in reply. "That is good to hear!"

Colette softly laughed now as she opened her eyes to look up at the entity who was before her. Like always she felt comfortable in his presence, but this time it was stronger than ever which made her wonder if it had something to do with her reading the journal last night? As that thought emerged within her head, did it leave the moment she heard a new voice. "Welcome Colette. Please take a seat."

Colette looked in the direction of the voice and she saw that she was in a room like yesterday but she could actually see into the interrogation room on the other side of the glass. The voice that she heard belonged to a woman who was sitting on the other side of the glass wall which separated them. "Okay.", was Colette's reply as she walked toward the chairs and table which was in the room with them. However there were two chairs at the table, which would accommodate 049 and her.

049 was right behind her as he followed her with his head held high, his stance and posture was straight as he kept a calm but confident gait. The entity stopped the moment that Colette stopped, as she took a seat at the table. Once she was seated did he allow himself to take the second seat that was beside her.

"Alright now-" started the woman before the sound of an alarm went off at that moment. This alarm Colette has heard already, but there was a new sound that she hasn't heard before. That sound that she heard sounded like a roar as it shook the room that they were in. At that moment, Colette watched the lady get up and leave the room in a hurry which baffled Colette.

"W-What was that...?" asked Colette with wide eyes for she looked greatly shaken.

"It would seem that he escaped again?", replied 049 who was sitting beside her with his eyes closed.

"He?" blinked Colette as she looked at 049 in question.

049 opened his eyes as he looked at Colette who was looking at him in search of an answer and so he decided to tell her, "They call him 682, I believe?"

"6-682?" stammered Colette now. "W-Who is 682?"

049 kept his eyes on Colette as he calmly answered her, "A large beast that they have kept here, along with other things."

"B-Beast!?!" exclaimed Colette in shock.

Before 049 could reply to her did the door fly open with a slam to their room, and Colette looked back in greater surprise to see four guards storming into the room.

"You two are being returned to your cells as we deal with this breach! COME NOW!?!", ordered the guards at both 049 and her.

"W-Why...?" cautiously asked Colette as she stood up and approached the guards who would be taking her back to her cell.

"It will be safer that way.", firmly replied the guard who stood before her.

Colette could only nod her head before her eyes suddenly went wide to the sound of guns being fired, quickly she turned around and blinked in surprise as she saw two guards on the floor. Who were dead at 049's feet.

"YOU BASTARD!?! YOU WERE PLANNING SOMETHING AFTER ALL!?!" snarled her guards who were quick to get in front of her as they raised their guns at 049.

"I didn't plan anything. Though I will however take this time to escape.", replied 049 rather coldly as he unlocked the cuffs on his wrists.

Colette was stunned by what she was seeing, not to mention that she was hearing distant screams from somewhere within the building. These sounds terrified her and her fear grew the more she heard them. Her eyes looked at 049 though as he slowly approached the two guards who were walking backwards with their guns raised. "STAND DOWN!?! WE WILL SHOOT!?!"

The next thing that happened was that 049 was quick to close in on the guards and grab their necks. Colette could only watch as their bodies slumped to the floor, for they were dead.

Colette's eyes were slow as they looked up at 049 who approached her calmly, his posture was calm as he stood before her though his right hand was soon lifted toward the open door. While his left was behind her back though close he did not touch her. "Shall we go, Colette?"

"H-Huh?" gasped Colette as she looked at him surprised. Her reaction made the entity chuckle as he stood behind her. "Go where?"

"Where ever we want?", replied 049 whose eyes were closed as he looked at her rather pleased.

Colette was surprised by all of this as she watched him walk toward the door in a calm gait, however he looked back waiting for her to go with him. The thing was, should she?
