Ruby: But you didn't, that wasn't y...

(Y/N): It doesn't matter.

You were aware of your raising voice, and immediately lowered yourself back down, in shame, putting your head in your hands.

(Y/N): It doesn't matter. I was in the backseat of my body, screaming for it to stop, but all I could do was watch.

You felt Ruby reach for your hand, and you wanted to pull away, you were disgusted by her close contact, but you let it stay...

For her sake.

Ruby: I'm sorry for hurting you. I'm sorry for pushing you away, when all you were trying to do was help. I... I was just frustrated. You promised to me and then y... Well I thought you broke it to me. 

You looked at Ruby, who was looking down at your hands clasped.

Ruby: You were the first boy that I liked... more than a normal friend. For some reason I felt as if I knew you, as if that wasn't the first time we met. I felt more comfortable around you than others when I arrived at Beacon.

You sat in silence, looking at her as she still avoided meeting your gaze.

Ruby: I was scared... You were killing people, and you seemed not to be changed. And that was pretty scary too. I wanted you to stop, I wanted you to be the person I knew... Not some killer.

(Y/N): I tried. I tried to separate myself, and then W... Edel was missing, and I had to try and find him, but I was stopped by Atlas. They took me, and then Raven saved me. She said that if I returned, that you would be in more danger, that the powers of the silver eyes, and that of the gods, together would draw all evil in.

You paused, as she finally looked up to meet you. Her silver eyes, beautiful in color, met your own gaze.

(Y/N): I stayed away to protect you. I couldn't let me be the reason that you were harmed. So I stayed away, I went with Raven to get stronger, so that when I returned to you, I could be stronger for you.

You dropped your gaze, looking at your left hand, which shook, the one not in Ruby's grasp.

(Y/N): So when I returned, after learning, when I returned to you, hoping that I was strong enough, when I saw myself hurting you... I was disgusted at myself. I stayed away, mirroring what I did before, hoping I could be stronger for you.

Ruby: I don't want you to be stronger for me.

You turned back to her.

Ruby: I want you here now. You can't worry about the future so much, if you do, you'll just worry too much. W... I need you here... with me...

She trailed off, growing quieter and quieter, but you knew what she was saying.

(3rd Person POV)

Edel: To live in the future is to be anxious. To live in the past is to be depressed. Stay in the present princess.

With that Edel went to move past Weiss. The conversation had gone on long enough for him. However, the young girl pushed him back.

Weiss: Don't lecture m...

Edel grabbed Weiss' arm, holding her in place.

Edel: I lecture you, because I have lived for thousands of years. I know things. I will help (Y/N) and Ruby on their quest. I will help in Ozpin's fight against Salem. I will not entertain the advances of a silly yo...

Weiss: You didn't think I was silly back then.

Edel: I very much did. I commented on how young you were.
