I guess we're getting right into it. [1]

"T-Thank you Ibuki. But really, it's nothing special..."

"Well? Hurry up and say it!"

She laughed again, folding her hands behind
her back with a small smile.

"I'm the Ultimate Siren."

"Everyone, meet Ibuki's new friend!"

Y/N came face to face with a classroom of fifteen other students, all with different expressions. Some looked confused, some looked flustered, some had the same bored expression on their faces, and one looked... angry? Oh well.

After she had told Ibuki about her talent, she started freaking out and jumping around like an excited child. She kept demanding that they sing and write songs together, not taking no for an answer.

"Ah, so that's how Ibuki knows Y/N! Y/N is so famous back in [country!] Our musical styles are very different, though... but Ibuki is sure we will find a solution!"

And next thing she knew, she was being dragged through the hallways by a certain super hyper girl.

She never would have guessed that meeting a group of kids her age could be such a strange experience. Just from what she could pick out, she saw a goth boy with hamsters in his scarf, a really tiny boy with what seemed to be his armed bodyguard standing directly behind him, and an extremely muscular guy having an arm wrestling competition with a muscular girl.

"Oh my..." She whispered under her breath, turning around when she felt a hand being placed on the small of her back.

A young woman with bright orange hair greeted her. Y/N immediately felt nothing but safe and kind vibes coming from her, and so she relaxed under her gentle touch.

"You must be Y/N L/N, hm? I'm Chisa Yukizome, but please call me Miss Yukizome." She said, removing her hand from Y/N's back and guiding her up to the front of the class.

"I'm sure some people in here have heard of you already, but that does not mean you are exempt from introducing yourself!"

She stood in front of the chalkboard, her palms starting to sweat as she played with her fingertips. She found it quite strange how she could perform in front of millions but can barely introduce herself to a round of angsty teenagers.

She gathered up her nerves, her lips curving into her signature heartwarming grin. Being an singer, she was forced to spend years perfecting her smile.

"Hello! My name is Y/N L/N, and I'm the Ultimate Siren. The singing type of siren, not the "weewoo weewoo!" kind. I'm only here for a semester, but I still hope I can make friends. Nice to meet you all!" She exclaimed, finishing off with a bow.

"I-I know you..." She heard a soft voice come from the students, and she straightened herself back up to see a girl with messy purple hair gazing at her with a bright red blush on her face.

"I l-love y-your music... A-And I-I have almost all of your songs in my p-playlist..." She spoke gently, avoiding eye contact as she looked at her. Y/N heard the hums of a few other classmates, assuming they had heard about her, too.

"Oh, really?"

"I'M SORRY!" Suddenly, her voice got a lot higher and whinier, and she saw tears form in her eyes before she covered her face with her hands. "I swear I'm n-not a s-stalker! Please forgive me!"

Y/N panicked, running down from her spot at the front of the classroom and over to crying girl's desk. "N-No! I didn't think that at all! I thought it was very sweet..." She reassured her, softly patting the top of her head.

She slowly removed her hands from her face, her sad frown turning into a happy little smile.

"R-Really? I'm glad...!" She said, followed by a small laugh. "My names M-Mikan T-Tsumiki."

Miss Yukizome cleared her throat, grabbing the singer's attention from Mikan. She looked over to where she was pointing, and it was directed at the empty seat next to a pale boy with fluffy white hair.

Seating me right next to the attractive guy? How very cliche of you, Miss Yukizome.

She adjusted the bag on her shoulder and walked over to him, giving him a glance as she sat down.

Soon enough, everyone in the room began to gather around her, telling her their names and their talents. The two small blonde kids were kind of rude, but despite that she liked them too.

After everyone was done introducing themselves to her, she realized there was one person who hadn't spoken to her yet.

"I guess that just leaves me, doesn't it?"

Y/N shifted in her seat to look at the fluffy haired boy next to her. He was giving her a close eyed smile, his hand reached out for her to shake.

"Ah, hello there." She smiled back, taking his hand. "What your name?"

"I'm Nagito Komaeda." He placed his other hand on top of hers, his eyes opening. It took her a second to process how pretty they were.

They were a soft light green with a grayish tint, and they had darker green specks scattered all around his pupil. His eyelashes were long and full, fluttering lightly every time he blinked. His eyes were a forest, and the only thing she felt was envy towards the boy she met five minutes ago.

"Dude, your eyes are gorgeous." She spoke without meaning to, but she kept a straight face.

His expression immediately went from content to surprised, before a large smile appeared on his lips. "Oh wow! I've never received a compliment before, and my first one was from someone as amazing as you!" He let out a chuckle, squeezing her hand. "Man, I'm lucky... Surely you don't mean that?"

She scratched the back of her head, giggling awkwardly. "No, I meant that. Hearing that makes me kind of sad, but you're welcome..." She said. He still had her hand in his, so she slowly pulled away.

He frowned at this. "I didn't even realize I was still holding on to you like that. My apologies. It a shame that you had even touched trash like me in the first place."

"Hey! Don't bully yourself like that, I think you're pretty nice so far. Anyways, what your talent?" She asked.

Nagito sighed, suddenly avoiding direct eye contact. "I wouldn't call it a talent since the word "curse" fits it better. I'm the Ultimate Lucky Student."

She knew what that was. From what she's read online, the Ultimate Lucky Student was someone who was randomly picked from a lottery to attend Hope's Peak, thus being given that title. What did that have to do with curses?

She gave him a small look. "But... I heard that the lucky student was just drawn from a lottery. How is it a curse? Do you not like it here?" She questioned him, keeping her eyes on his.

"No, you're right about that. Don't get me wrong, I love attending school here, but I really don't deserve to..." He shook his head, his eyes shifting to something behind her. "It's too complicated to explain now. I hope I can see you later, Y/N."

"What-"

"Y/NNNNNNN!"

She felt a pair of arms snake their way around her neck, rocking her back and forth.

"Y/N! Ibuki wants you to go to the café with her! We can write songs and have hot chocolate together! C'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon!" The Ultimate Musician screamed in her ear persistently.

"Okay, okay! Give me a second, yeah? I'll see you later, Nagito!" She gave him a smile and wave before the rockstar pulled her behind her like a ragdoll, leaving him to return the gesture at her already leaving figure.
