This is a Doctor Who fanfiction... But please recommend and read even if you haven't watched the show and are not a fan (yet). I have written it to be like so.

"Would that work?" The Doctor asked. To this, Sebastian replied, "They entered through a door, a gateway. Doors open from both sides, right? So, we open this side of the door, find a way to get them on the other side like Jack said, and lock the door, destroy the key! Done! Or even better, sew it shut so there's no key to worry about." Everyone nodded at the genius revelation.
"You said that happened so long ago according to normal time, so how come they're here now?" Alex inquired.
"Time isn't exactly a straight line, especially for creatures who deal or mess with time, like the weeping angles, or in fact, me. For us, time signatures like are a signal, which is location specific, not era specific. That could be one thing, the other could be that the larger food supply in the future could have encouraged them to travel to this time" Doctor told Alex. she nodded slowly.
"Ok, now we know, three things about them. How they got here, when, and why. Can we please work as to how to get these guys out of here now?" Jack said, sharing Sebastian's sentiment of wanting this to be over.
"So, we're all set? Are we sure we're not forgetting any detail which might be needed? Because I don't want this to be messed up, and we need a plan-" Alex started.
"-and fast." Jack finished.
Sebastian nooded, but looked hesitantly thoughtful. "Yeah..... H-"
