Chapter 26: Ebisu Returns: Time For Training!

"Congratulations to those of you who won your bouts and qualified for the finals of the third phase of the chunin exam" the proctor says before turning to the Hokage "well Lord Hokage they're all yours"

"I can't believe you made it" Naruto whispers to Aika "you did some amazing stuff"

"Well I can" Aika replies looking a bit annoyed "I'm amazing just like you big brother"

The Hokage steps up "I shall begin explaining the finals, as i mentioned earlier you ill conduct your final round battles in front of everyone. Each of you represents the battle strength of your respective lands, so we want you to exhibit and fully showcase your various talents, and thus the finals will commence one month from now!"

"We're not doing it right here, right now?" Naruto questions

"Why not" Aika asks

"we call this the requisite preparation period" Lord Hokage explains "its a period of time that allows us to relay the results of the preliminaries to the rulers of each land and to summon them to the finals... and it also serves as a preparation period for you applicants. 

Each of you must embrace the opportunity to practice hard, learn some new tricks, and of course get some rest as well! I would like to let you all go now, but first there's one last thing we must do for the finals"

"Hey come on!" Naruto shouts "I need to start training now!"

"Naruto that's rude, don't yell at Lord Hokage" Aika lectures her big brother

"Right, don't be so impatient, there are slips of paper inside the box Anko is holding, each of you take one" Lord Hokage instructs

"I'll com around so line up ok" Anko says, she went around and everyone chose a slip of paper "Now starting at the left each of you read out the number written on your slip"

"4" Aika read out

"good and now I will reveal the match order for the tournament style finals!" Lord Hokage announced

"What!" Naruto and Aika shout

"So that's what the drawing was for?!" Shikamaru shouts

"Well, Ibiki, show them the pairings" Lord Hokage instructs

"yes sir" Ibiki turned around the sheet

It read: Naruto vs Neji, Gaara vs Aika, Haruto vs Shino, Temari vs Shikamaru, and Dosu Vs Sasuke.

"no way" Aika whines

"alright then, good luck" the Hokage says

"See you in the finals, fire cat" Gaara walks away

"Why me" Aika whines

"Aika I wanna go train with Kakashi Sensei" Naruto told her as they were leaving

"hm?" Aika looks at him "With Kakashi sensei?"

"Yeah, come help me find him, pleasssse" Naruto begs

"a-alright" Aika agrees

Naruto and Aika went to find Kakashi. He was at the hospital with Sasuke, who was getting a checkup after what happened with his curse mark. Guests weren't allowed to see him though.

"Kakashi Sensei!" Naruto shouts

"Naruto be quiet" Kakashi commands as he walks out of the room

"Hey!" Naruto ran over to him "I need a favor, I want-"

"Stop right there" Kakashi interrupts "I already know what you're about to ask me Naruto so I found someone else to oversee your training"

"But I want you to train me Kakashi Sensei!" Naruto argues

"I've got other things going on, I couldn't give you my full attention" Kakashi explains

"Let me guess you're training Sasuke right!" Naruto shouts

"Naruto don't be disrespectful" Aika lectures

"You're sister's right Naruto, don't complain, I found you an even better teacher than me" Kakashi tells him

"Who?" Naruto asks

"It is I" A voice says

They turn to see Ebisu

"It's YOU!" Naruto exclaimed looking at them "You closet PERVERT!!!!" 

"...did I miss something?" Aika mumbles confused

"T-that guy?!" Naruto stammers "You're kidding me! Of all the guys you could of picked, you picked this guy to train me! What a joke! He's weaker than me!  I'm serious! Aika you should of seen him! He saw our Harem Jutsu once and he fell in seconds-" 

The guy quickly covered Naruto's mouth.

"What?" Kakashi looks confused

"It's nothing! Just a little joke!" Ebisu assured

"Why does it have to be him?" Naruto demanded. 

Aika sighs and looks passed the group to Sasuke's room. She looks back and forth before sneaking over to his room and peering in. Sasuke was just laying in bed staring at the ceiling. Kakashi glances over and watched Aika walk into the room before looking back at Naruto.

"Sasuke" Aika spoke as she walked to his bed

"Aika" Sasuke sat up "what are you doing in here? I'm not allowed guests"

"Sorry" Aika apologizes "I was just.. worried about you"

Sasuke smiles slightly "thanks, but I'm fine. I'm more worried about you, what are you going to do for training?"

"training..." Aika shrugs "well I guess I won't do anything"

"You're kidding me" Sasuke looks annoyed

"Well I got nobody.." Aika trails off as she thinks about the red scroll Haruto gave her

"Nobody to train you?" Sasuke questions

"y-yeah" Aika snaps back into reality and chuckles "I suppose I can always train on my own.. well see you Sasuke" she waves to him before leaving the room

"I can't believe Kakashi Sensei wants me to focus on the fundamentals!" Naruto complains as he walks out of the hospital with Ebisu and Aika

"He's just thinking of what's best for you Naruto" Aika argues "stop complaining so much"

"Aikaaaaaa" Naruto whines "what happened to my cute little sister who use to agree with me?"

"she decided.. to grow up" Aika walks away

Naruto stares at her as she walks away "..grow up?"

Aika walks around the village thinking, she had no idea what she was going to do for training. Sure she could read the scroll Haruto gave her but it's not like she had someone to actually teach it to her. Her and Naruto were the only Uzumaki's in the village, and she knew for sure her big brother had no idea what her kekkei genkai was.

"Aika!"

"hm?" Aika turns and sees Haruto standing on a tree branch

"What are you doing?!" Haruto jumps down and lands beside her

"Walking what else" Aika replies

"Yeah I see that but you got no time for that" Haruto says

"Why not?" Aika asks boredly

Haruto grins "Of course because it's time for training! Let's go!"
