Usopp stared at you, completely unsure of what to say anymore. You on the other hand, had realized what you said, and your blush quickly returned to your face.

"Shit! I said way too much!" You cursed, starting to run away in embarrassment.

"_______ stop!" Usopp yelled, grabbing your arm and pulling you back.

You struggled to get away, to go and hide away again, but Usopp wouldn't let you go. He pulled you back and straight into his arms, hugging you tightly.

"I never knew that was how you felt. At all. I thought that your reason for leaving all the time was something much less." Usopp said. "Memories can cling, but I never thought yours would cling so strongly. I wasn't thinking properly. All I cared about was the Merry, when it really should have been the crew, and you."

You stopped struggling and froze. "What? B-bull shitter!"

"No. I'm seriously sorry. That was the reason I came back after that stupid rant of mine. I missed the crew, and I was worried about you. You were evasive, and I wondered what happened to you. I'm sorry for causing this state of depression." Usopp said.

You started to quiver before more tears appeared in your eyes. "I-I don't know if you really mean that. You did it, SOGEKING." You said in a shaky voice.

Usopp cringed slightly at the comment. "_______, I'm so very sorry for putting you through this pain without realizing it. When I came back, it was too late. No, it was too late the moment I left. I truthfully came back for you though, because while I was gone, I realized that I loved you, and I missed you being part of my life."

"U-usopp are you seriou-!" You said in shock, but you were cut off by him turning you around and kissing you.

You froze and lost control of the emotions you were feeling, wanted to be feeling, and the one your heart told you to feel. You hated Usopp so much, but loved him just as equally. Only a week ago, he came back from the time he broke you apart, and now, he has repaired the hole in your heart. All your hatred for his stupidity was slowly disappearing along with your depression. The days of sitting alone, confused on whether you should even like him melted away as you began to trust him again in a way more than you ever have before. He said he was sorry, more than a million times, and that he truly cared for you. That seemed to heal the blackness that had taken over your heart for the short week that seemed to last an eternity. You let yourself cry out everything while he kissed you, feeling still in a slight mix. After a few moments, you slightly kissed back, to say that you have accepted his apologies, and him.

When you parted for a breath of air, you hugged him tightly, showing zero signs of letting go.

"You really do mean it." You said weakly.

"Yeah. That was about the only thing I could think of quick enough to show you I really did. Now stop hiding away for hours on end. We all miss you being around to make jokes and play games. Your smile is something that we want to see again. Especially me." Usopp said, hugging you back with a serious, but small smile.

"Okay. I miss being happy anyway. I wish I didn't let my emotions take over me like that. It's a bit ridiculous." You said.

"It might be ridiculous, but it shows me how much having me around mattered to you. And that you were thinking about me for a long time~!" Usopp added in a joking tone.

"You're being stupid you cheesy bastard." You said, grinning slightly.

"Yes! I got you to smile! I haven't seen you smile like that in so long."

"It'll stay if you make me a promise. Never leave again, no matter how angry you get. Ever." You said.

"That's a promise that I'm sure I can keep." He said.

"... I feel like an ass for yelling at you before." You scoffed.

"Hey, your feelings were strong, and you needed to let it out. It's understandable. I kinda wish I came a bit sooner though. This is a nice moment right now." He chuckled.

"You're being cheesy again." You said, kicking his foot.

"Sorry!" He laughed. "So do you want to head down now?"

"No. I'm too lazy and a bit exhausted. I'd probably get questioned by everyone anyway."

"Well, I have an idea. Let's just stay up here for an hour or two. I don't think anyone will miss up. We're on a ship." Usopp suggested.

When you nodded, he took you to the railing and sat down, pulling you down with him and leaning back on it, facing the setting sun on the Grand Line. For Usopp, this moment looked pretty romantic. And that's kinda hard to see someone like Usopp being romantic.

"Maybe this is a pretty good moment." You said quietly, smiling.

"That's the brightest I've seen you smile in that whole week _______. It feels good to see you smiling again."

"Well, I feel a lot better. That rant helped, what you said helped, and right now feels perfect." You said.

"That's good. Everyone will be happy to see you smiling again." Usopp said.

"For sure."

As you sat there with Usopp, the sky soon started to turn different shades of purple and pink. Night was slowly approaching, and you yawned. Soon, you fell asleep in Usopp's arms, just as the last sliver of sunlight disappeared behind the sea. Usopp looked at you and smiled. He was happy for you, now that you were no longer depressed and upset. He kissed your nose once more before closing his eyes and drifting off into a peaceful sleep with you, never to leave your side again.
