Aurora POV
I woke up the next day and realized I overslept. By the time I got home it was 2:11am and I barely went to sleep at 3:46am. I had to stay up and study for as long as possible because I had a big exam for one of my classes today and I also had to pay my phone bill ($50 I didn't have) because it was set to cut off at 5am.

Now it's 8:43am and I was supposed to be at the bookstore at 8am. I checked my phone and saw two texts from my boss asking where I was.

I texted back saying sorry I was late and explained what happened last night.

Surprisingly he told me I could have the day off since I've been working so hard.

This gave me a huge sigh of relief and I went back to sleep right away.

What seemed like moments later was when I was rudely awaken by my brother jumping next to me on my bed.

"WAKE UP SIS YOU'RE LATE" he yelled in my ear

"Von I have the day off" I responded rolling over

"What?" he asked confused "Your boss never gives you the day off ... you and him must be doing some nasty stuff I don't know about"

I rolled over laughing and said "why are you so crazy?"

"Just looking out for my lil sis you know" he smiled "So ... you just gonna sleep in today or what?" he asked still sitting on my bed

"Von it's barely 9:30 and I haven't slept in within the past 5 years" I responded tired

"Well come on let's have a brother and sister day, we never do. I'm hanging with the guys tonight you can roll with us if you want?" he replied

"Who are the guys?" I asked hoping he didn't say Durk

"You know the usual, OTF. Durk having a little get together at his crib. He got like eight bedrooms, six bathrooms...real nice. I know you would like it"

"I don't care what he has. His celebrity attitude sucks and honestly my time can be better spent." I replied shaking my head

"For real I think you two just got off to a bad start, just need to redo that shit." he laughed and stood up

"Not happening and that's your friend anyway" I replied

"and you know he's going to be around often...I'm telling you Aurora this music shit is about to take off for me. You won't have to be working these long hours and granny will be able to get the chemo she needs." Von explained

"I hope so because everyday it just feels like I'm one step away from losing it"

"Don't worry little sis, aye just get some sleep...in a few hours Durk will be here around 2 to pick me up and go to the studio for like 5 hours. We will be back around 8 to pick you up so you can hangout with us tonight"

"Okay..." I replied shutting my eyes again knowing I really did not want to.

I finally woke up from my well needed sleep and was able to get a lot done. I did all of my personal hygiene and started getting ready for a night of fun...hopefully.

I put this outfit on and waited for Von to text me that they were here.
