Chapter 13

And today was another special day too. Today, Azazel wanted to confess to Aiyana of his love and tell her about his identity. About their identity.

Aiyana too was very ecstasic on this day. She even prepared a nice gift for him. But unknown to her, she will not be able to gift it to him for what was about to happen.

It was morning, when Azazel arrived in her home. Waiting for her to come to the garden.

His heart pounded from all the emotions he was feeling; nervousness, anticipation, excitement and conflict.

He was very conflicted. Very very much. He even wanted to back out of telling her of his identity, but still he remained persistent. All for his beast, his other personality. Cause he felt his longing for their mate.

Which was slowly turning to agonizing pain. It wasn't healthy any longer to keep Azron away from Aiyana, his soulmate.

When Aiyana entered her safe haven, she saw Azazel standing there with his arms being his back, pacing slowly around the lush grass with different emotions on his face.

She approached him slowly and hugged him from behind. She giggled when he became stiff but later relaxed in her arms, he even covered her hands with his, breathing peacefully in her scent.

Her intoxicatingly divine scent.

When he turned around to face her, Aiyana witnessed something in his eyes which were staring at her intently.

Love. She thought but later dismissed it thinking it was her delusion. But still, he stared at her with his intensed amethyst eyes.

Before she could think of any more about it, the surrounding, all of a sudden, dimmed.

Aiyana gasped as the total garden became dark as night. Suddenly, small floating lights, which revealed to be glowworms, started dimly lighting the space between both of them.

A confused and amazed Aiyana was about to glance at Azazel when she found him on his knees, crouching in front of her.

He signed with his hands.

I love you.

His eyes were so deep and emotional that she felt overwhelmed.

Tears welled into her eyes as she covered her mouth with her hand and gasped. He... Loved her? She stared at his eyes to see nothing but sincerety and love. A deep longing Love.

When he noticed the tears in her eyes, he somehow couldn't stop himself from engulfing her within his arms and breathing in her touch and scent.

Aiyana was shocked but recovered when he calmed her with his comforting hands on her back.

She tilted her head back, only to see his eyes closed. She touched his cheek slightly with her shaking hand. Her soft touch made him open his amethyst eyes, from which some drops of water fell.

He was crying.. She thought.

Aiyana stood on her toes, crossed the distance between their faces and softly kissed his tears, all the while staring into his piercing amethyst eyes intoxicatedly.

Then she connected his forehead with hers. As both closed their eyes and relished in each other's touches.

When both recovered, Aiyana signed him her reply.

I don't know if I love you or not.

She paused to let the words sink in. But before his heart could lurch in pain, she signed again.

But I know that I like you a lot. The kind of like where my heart beats in melody when with you. The like where I don't even want to imagine a single day without you.

She sniffed as tears streamed down her face. While she continued to pour out her bottled feeling to him which were so intense and intoxicating for her little heart to keep. Making Azazel mesmerized.

Before she could utter the word 'die', Azazel stopped her actions by hugging her with force and then after some time, connecting their foreheads with each other. That ominous word was not for her.

His heart was thumping. It was beating so loud and fast that he just could die right now in happiness. His eyes started tearing up again.

Thank you. He mouthed to her as he kissed every part of her face with affection. Replacing her tears with his lip's touch. Whereas Aiyana's heart felt light after she had confessed her feelings.

When they separated again, he signed something to her further.

I want to tell you something else too. About my secret.

This poked Aiyana's interest. She gave him all of her attention only to be shocked on his reply.

I am the King of Earth. King Azazel. He signed with a choked throat.

And I have another personality. Whom you mortals address as Beast.

He signed the last part in the silence of the darkness, as he let the words sink in Aiyana's heart.

When he glanced to see her reaction, he was very hurt to see her shocked eyes with expressions of disbelief and hurt clear in them.

Does it mean he lied to me? Was everything that had happened supposed to be a joke? She stumbled back from his arms in shock and betrayal. Which he let her. He knew that she would need time to adjust the information.

After a while, she signed to him in desperation.

Was everything that happened between us an act?? Her teary eyes were so pained that his heart lurched. But her statement made him angry. Very very angry.

He grabbed her with force and signed to her in a very forceful way.

No! NO! Not at all!! Everything that happened between us was real. Very very real. Our friendship, our relationship and lastly, my love for you, they are all real! I love you Aiyana!! Please believe me!! It's the truth!! Try to understand!! I couldn't expose my identity as a king to you!! I knew you wouldn't approach me!! Please!! I did it all for your affection!!

Although she understood all his signings and she could even say that he was being completely honest, she still was very shocked to digest and respond to any of his 'wellsaid' facts.

She started to back away from him, indicating that she needed some time to digest the fact.

As 7 minutes passed, the rays of sun started to appear again with a straight pattern as she started to back away from the garden.

Before the light could touch her, she saw him sign;

I will come at night again. I love you.

With this, she ran inside the house while he disappeared as soon as the light touched him.

Along with being a Valentines day, it was also a solar eclipse day.
