I sat down as usual between Connie and Armin
"what took so long Arai, your food is cold now" Armin seemed concerned for me
I ensure him everything was alright, everything was more than alright, everything was perfect.
"If you don't want it i'll take it out of your way" Sasha smirked as she reached for my plate , I let her at it
"Here" Jean gave me his plate
I was confused
"Don't think i've gotten all soft now...i'm sorry for trying to kill you today" He sighed and rolled his eyes
"thank you horse shit" I patted his head as I giggled
Immediately regretting giving me his food
"Can we all get serious for second...have you heard about the expedition?" Eren looked at us
We were all confused at what he was saying
He seemed very serious , which was rare.
"Commander wants to finish off the the Amoured titan. I overheard his and Hanges conversation earlier... basically suicide" Eren sipped his tea.
We all sat silent. There was no way this was true, it had been a while since we had witnessed it. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, Even with Erens and Ymir's titan on our side we had no way to defeat it, no matter how hard our squads would train
it was suicide.
No way would Commander Erwin send us to our deaths this way.
"Come on Eren, that can't be true" Armin nervously laughed
"I heard as well." Mikasa said as she sipped her tea
She was probably with Eren when he had heard, meaning he wasn't lying
"We still have time to prepare, we have the strongest squads guys, don't stress it" Connie reminded us
This was weird, usually Connie is never serious, always playing around, seemed like he too was a little nervous.
But he was right, we still had a few months before the expedition would begin, completely enough time
I would hope.
I doubt anything would happen to us
For the rest of the dinner it was less talkative then usual, guess we were all shaken up at what Eren had told us
"Sasha do you want the rest of my potato" I smiled at her , trying to lighten the mood
She would never be one to decline food
she hesitated, "no thanks, not that hungry anymore...i'm gonna go take a shower, night guys" She softly spoke as she got up

"Sasha not hungry?" Jean questioned
"Poor her , she's probably worried" Armin frowned
"Thanks for ruining the mood Eren" Jean sighed
"Atleast you guys got a heads up, most of the squads won't know till a few days before the expedition. Probably keeping it as a secret so no one can chicken out" Eren said as he took the potato I had offered to Sasha earlier
"He's right, better than being them" Mikasa gloomed
Soon we all had finished up and went to our rooms
I took a longer shower than usual, I had a lot to think about tonight, I didn't want to get no sleep again.
As I finished getting ready for bed someone knocked on my door
Most likely Armin
"Armin go to sleep already" I said as I opened the door for him
Surprised seeing Levi standing there, my eyes widen
"tch, Do I look blonde to you?" He rolled his eyes
He walked in and closed the door behind him, looking around my room before he sat down on my bed , waiting for me
"I have something serious I need to tell you."
