Ignoring her buzzing phone, she raised her hand.
"Yes Miss Yang?"
"can I use the bathroom please?" She gave the teacher a look, and the teacher immediately understood.
With a nod of her head, Mirae rushed out of the class.
As quick as she could, she made her way to where Sooyoung was.
And once she was there, she froze.
Her best friend was on the floor, a sobbing mess, her uniform and hair messed up, her makeup smudged, and a bruise forming on her left cheek.
And in an instant she was by her side, taking her into her arms.
"are you oka- no, dumb question scratch that, ur not hurt are u?"
Sooyoung let out a breathy laugh, before shaking her head.
"my head hurts emotionally and mentally and don't even get me started on my heart"
Mirae sighed, rubbing the girl's back in comfort.
She then started to sing, surprising Sooyoung.
"but-" Mirae put a finger on her lips and shook her head slightly, continuing to sing.
The girl knew her singing made people feel better, despite not singing like that in so long.
Sooyoung started to feel at ease more, melting at the girl's voice and embrace.
To say she was surprised was an understatement, she didn't think after all these years that Mirae would be able to sing like an angel for someone other than her brother.
But she was glad that she did, overcoming her past.
