"do you have time to hang out with me today?" jia asked one of her best friends, jake as she was packing her bags to get ready for school.

"surprisingly i got time to spare!" jake enthusiastically said while sparing a glance at his watch. "where do you wanna go?" jake asked jia.

she looked at the window, pondering about where to go.

"hmm you know that cafe that's nearby the school!" jia said with excitement in me. "the one that just recently opened!"

jake chuckled at the short, excited girl.

"fine by me." jake agreed. he couldn't reject the girl that was excited, showing her bright smile.

jake turned around, walking out of the classroom, where he heard the girl, shouting behind him.

"wait for me!" jia said while rushing to walk next to jake.

"you know jia." jake suddenly said. jia looked at him, questionable, waiting for him to finish his sentence.

jake smiled. "you're such a great best friend of mine." jia lowered her bright smile after hearing those words come out of jake. she didn't expect to hear those words. to be jake's friend, best friend.

jia put on a fake smile and put jake in a headlock to hide her sadness. "me too."

"let go!" jake tried to playfully get out of jia's headlock.
