But it was impossible for you to explain all of that to Spencer, especially while high. So, you bottled it up and pushed it deep down, knowing it wouldn't stay down very long. As long as you kept yourself hidden, you were safe.
You offered the roll to Spencer, him hesitantly denying it. "If you say so." You quietly responded. All the sudden, you felt the urge to move, sway... dance.
"Dance with me, Spencer." You said before letting the joint rest in between your lips, puffing out some smoke as you awaited his response. Taken aback by yet another change in behavior, he just said, "There's no music."
Without unlocking your gaze from his quizzical look, you spoke out to your phone, "Hey, Siri." You waited for the sound that signified Siri was listening, "Shuffle Party Favors by Sir Chloe."
"Shuffling Party Favors by Sir Chloe..." The automated voice replied.
The soft beat of Michelle kicked in immediately, and you swung your arms around Spencer's shoulders, pulling him closer to you. "Now there's music." You muttered just above a whisper.
He hesitated to hold your waist, afraid of triggering something, but you were too high to care. You eventually pushed your hips into his, letting him know he could touch you. He finally got the hint and placed his hands on either side of your waist.
You closed your eyes, swaying your hips and your head like a snake. You hummed along to the first few verses before sucking in the smoke from the paper that already rested in between your lips. As the first chorus played, you exhaled the smoke that threatened to escape your lips, directly in Spencer's face.
Spencer, however, didn't object. He just angled his head as if he was hesitating to kiss you, inhaling the smoke you'd just exhaled. Your lips continued to brush over each other's as you now had Spencer swaying to the music as well. You eventually unclasped your hand from behind his head, moving to remove the roll from your lips, giving Spencer the option to take an actual hit.
Spencer took his opportunity, angling his head so he could capture the joint in between his lips now. Your fingers grazed his lips very lightly at the contact, before he pulled away and sucked in his own breath.
"This song is a nice slow dancing song." Spencer whispered against your neck, his once soft voice now gravely in your ear. "I'm glad it played first." You responded with your own whisper.
The two of you hadn't kissed yet. Instead, your lips had just brushed over each other's multiple times, as well as danced across the other's neck and shoulders.
You kissed his jaw lightly a few times before tracing his lips with your finger. He parted his lips a bit for you to finally lean in and kiss him. Your tongues slow danced themselves as the soft rock solo kicked in. Spencer angled his head to deepen the kiss, moving his hands to cup your head, and pulling you closer to him.
As the song ended and Untie You began, you closed your eyes and pulled Spencer down to the soft couch that you'd added to your balcony a few weeks after you'd moved. The two of you fell asleep on top of each other there.

Your eyes fluttered open only to realize you weren't outside anymore. You were tucked into your bed. Spencer must've brought you here, it wasn't like you blacked out. The thought of Spencer carrying you bridal style all the way from outside to your bed brought butterflies to your stomach.
You didn't know if he was still here, but something within you wouldn't let you get up. For some reason your body felt like stone, and your eyelids felt just as heavy. So all you could do was close your eyes again.
