Declan is standing in front of the gate. He's smiling at me.
"What did you guys argue about this time?"
"Nothing important, I'm just annoyed."
"Ah, the classic um, I didn't think that one through."
"Classic Declan." I tease.
"So what did you want to show me?"
"Oh yeah! The girl from the party texted me."
"Which girl?"
"Cup girl."
"Ah, her."
"Yes, her. Here." I hand him my phone.

" I hand him my phone

Declan smiles at me. "You think I'm pretty cool?"
"Why are you focusing on that? She likes you! Did she follow you?"
"No. I didn't get a request notification from her."
"I think you should ask her out."
"Why?"
"She seems like a sweet girl."
"I've never dated anyone. I don't know how to-"
"It's not that hard, Declan. Just ask her to hang out through dms or in person."
"It just seems wrong."
"Wrong?"
Declan pauses for a second. "You wouldn't care if I went out with her?"
"Why would I care? I'm literally telling you to ask her out."
"No, I mean like, you really really want me to ask her out?"
"I don't know what you're trying to get from this. I just think you should give it a shot."
"I'll ask her out then."
"Good luck though. Her bio is funny."

A/N
PRETEND THE SCHOOL SAYS MILL WOOD HEHEH
"She seems friendly, Rachel."
"I didn't say she wasn't?"
"She's really pretty."
"I love her hair so much."
Declan smiles at me. He's being such a weirdo today.

Mary's p/v
"Mary, you can see the principle now." The secretary lady says.
"I'll wait for you in the hall. Good luck." Darry hugs me.
"I hope this goes well." I sigh. Doing this seemed much more easier, but it's not. Not at all.

Rachel's p/v
"You don't know where she is?"
Tyler shakes his head. "No clue."
"Well if you don't know where she is then no one does."
"Mary and I haven't talked much lately. She's been kinda pushing me away. I wouldn't be surprised if even our math teacher knows where she is."
"Do you think it has something to do with the rumor Sara started?"
"Now that you mention, that's a very likely possibility."
"She's probably in Paris though."
"I don't think she'd go to Paris in the middle of the school year."
"Has she been to Paris?"
"She's been to London, not sure about Paris."
"Well then she's probably in Paris."
"I doubt it, she wouldn't travel by herself."
"Why do you say that?"
"Her father is going to be in New York for the rest of the week and her mother is leaving for Italy tomorrow morning."
"I thought you said you haven't been talking to her?"
"Mary told Erica who told Bowie who told me. And now I'm telling you."
"Mary can never be sad, she gets all these luxurious trips."
"She's not going with them though."
"But she can if she wanted to, even if it's only for a day. Her parent's jobs must be so elite to the point where they travel outside of the country."
"Her father was a film director before he became a movie prop maker. And her mom was a surgeon for a while before she became a journalist and graphic designer for fashion magazines and stuff."
"Her dad was a film director? Why did he quit?"
"Long hours on set. She told me that although he was barely around when she was growing up, he soon got fed up with his lifestyle and decided to change career paths. I admire him a lot, he sacrificed his well paying job to be with his family more."
"Well it didn't really work since she's staying home while he's staying in New York for a week."
"You've got a point. I feel bad for Mary, her parents are almost never around."
"But she has them in her life which is good."
"Yeah, but she rarely sees them. I guess they do take her on cool summer vacation trips."
"See, her life is full of privilege."
"But it's rough having your parents gone for long weeks, you know? I only have my mother and I often struggle with spending time with her. Mary has it harder though, at least my mother checks up on me like every hour of the day. It gets a little tiring, you know?"
