Prestons pov

Today was the day that rob and i were suppose to go on a romantic boating ride. Well, not romantic towards him, since he doesnt love me the same way i love him. Sure, ever once in awhile he would say "preston, you know i love you right?" i would reply, "Yes, and i love you too." the difference between us both was, i actually mean it.

While sitting on the small canoe, i decided to try to confess my attraction to the opposite sex. Like that would change his opinion towards me. Well it might, but not in the direction i want it to go. I roll my eyes.

"preston, are you bored?" i look up from the floor to see robs concerned face. Wow, i didnt think his eyes could sparkle as much as they do when he meets fans, but boy, was i wrong. In the perfect lighting of the evening sunset, his eyes seemed to gleam the most. There was something about his eyes that i noticed, but i didnt twice about it.

"y-yeah." i stutter, as i take the oar and continue to row the canoe into the middle of the lake. I shiver when we reach the center of the lake. I never thought about bringing a sweatshirt. I guess the late summer breeze in Montreal was a little colder than in Texas. I laugh at the irony in it.

Rob chuckles too, not knowing what i was actually laughing about. "are you cold?" he takes off his jacket and gives it to me. when i shake my head, he insists. "dont worry about it, once you live here your whole like, you get use to it." i lean over and gently take it.

The boat rocks with my motions and it tips over, sending us into the slightly freezing water to splash around. Rob and i go underwater and when we surface, we make eye contact and laugh. we rapidly swing our arms towards the land.

Once we reach the land i turn to see the sun slowly fade behind the horizon. "sure is beautiful." i hear rob whisper, breathtakingly. i turn to see him. i tilt my head in confusion when i saw him not looking at the numerous colors splattered across the sky. Instead, he was looking at me. Suddenly, the look in his eyes hit me. It was the same look that i had in my eyes everytime i looked at him. It was love.
