Yamazaki laughed freely with a childlike grin on his face. His eyes had a hint of kindness even though they sometimes sparked of mischief. His face now pulled off a wise pair of glasses and he looked deceptively serious with a gray muffler around his neck.

Eriol had returned back to Tomoeda along with Ruby and Spinel, who were leisurely spending time with Kero. The Guardian Beast of the Seal was especially happy to have guests, because to him Syaoran wasn't one of the best people to live with.

"Sakura, I know now that you were rightfully chosen as the master of the cards. If this brat were to be accidentally selected, I would have ultimately died of boredom." is what Kero sneakily messaged her from Li's phone while he was asleep.

The three; Syaoran, Eriol and Yamazaki decided to meet up at a cozy joint for lunch. It was Eriol who suggested they should meet up and Syaoran for once didn't disagree as he was particularly fond of Yamazaki.

"Chiharu will get really offended if I give her this news. She's been pestering me since a long time to get settled, and now Eriol has surpassed us!" Yamazaki howled. His voice sounded so youthful it blended perfectly with the lively restaurant.

"Is it really that surprising?" Eriol spoke with sarcasm.

He knew very well how sly he was in school and enjoyed every moment of it. Perhaps the mischief came along with the added memories of Clow Reed which he couldn't really get rid of.

"Yeah you were too busy trying to impress Sakura." Li snapped at him as he sipped the cold beer.

Eriol smirked playfully.

"It is true, she had the softest hands." Eriol added.

Syaoran tried very hard to control his temper but his expression signaled otherwise.

Yamazaki had been secretly enjoying the obvious tension between the two since elementary. He would seldom knowingly interrupt to clear the air, just in case Li took things a little too seriously. This was the best part about playing the jester in such situations.
