Time runs fast and time runs slow. The months that followed the confrontation between Sakura and Ayumi went by like a storm. For some, living past the days was tougher than the rest, for some blurry evenings dissolved into sleepless nights.

Eriol was admitted to a hospital in the pretext of a terrible car accident. His wounds were the worst, with bleeding lips and bruised legs. Luckily, Kaho reached the apartment right in time and if she were even a minute late, Eriol would have disappeared from her world forever.

Eriol was thankful he survived, even though he was cursed with a lifetime of recuperation exercises and possibly even a wheelchair. The time Sakura first saw him through the glass window at the ICU, she cried and cried, till Syaoran helped her fall asleep.

"Don't cry for me, Sakura" Eriol whispered as he brushed her hair away from her damp face.

"As Clow's reincarnation, it is my responsibility to help you." He smiled.

But deep in her heart she knew it should have been her instead of Eriol, and that he only spoke these words because he was kind, not because it was the truth.

Sakura stayed away from the Kinomoto residence as much as possible, avoiding Kaho as she couldn't find the courage to apologize to her. But with time all strained relationships healed and with magic all wounds covered.

"You'll have to closely monitor Syaoran though. I can guarantee you there is something wrong with him." Meilin whispered with suspicious looking eyes.

"Don't worry. Kero and I got it covered." Tomoyo winked.
