Seokjin wondered why Sehee woke up first everytime he slept over her place. He took a deep breath, laying flat on his back, staring at the ceiling. The room was filled with her distinct scent. He couldn't quite name it, Jungkook might be able to but for now he'd call it Sehee.

"Oh, you are awake." He turned his head to find Sehee rubbing her hair with a towel. She had that bright smile of her's, dimples and all that never failed to make him smile.

"Yeah. When are you going to leave for work?" He asked stretching in the bed. "I'm not going to work today." She said, her head buried in her closet, finding clothes. "I have to go meet my parents."

Seokjin nodded, watching her pick out a pair of black slacks and a black button down shirt. "Do you want me to come with you?" She looked up, her eyes wide with surprise. "If you want to."

He grinned, getting out of the bed and straight into her welcoming arms. "I want to introduce myself to them." She chuckled, her breath hitting right in the crook of his neck. "Okay. We'll go together then." She pulled back still smiling. Cupping his face in her hand she stood on her tippy toes, pecking his lips lightly. "Go get ready then." "As you say, my lady."

Sehee laughed pushing him out of her room and closing the door behind his smiling face. The moment the door closed her smile fell. She closed her eyes, trying to keep the tears at bay.

Why was Seokjin being so sweet? First, comforting her this morning and now wanting to meet her parents. It's not like her heart didn't pick up its beat with his words but the more he got involved, the more Sehee worried.

What would happen when he finds out her parents' murderer was still after her? That the murderer was obsessed with her? What would happen then?

"Hello, Mr and Mrs Choi. I'm Kim Seokjin, Sehee's boyfriend. It's nice to meet you." Sehee watched Seokjin bow infront of the urns in which her parents' ashes rested. He turned around with a soft smile on his face, capturing her hand in his.

"Your daughter has grown to become a very beautiful and strong woman with whom I would love to spend my whole life. I hope you give us your blessings." Her hand tightened around his and she moved closer to him, hiding her face in his shoulder.

Seokjin chuckled, turning around towards her and circling his arm around her shoulders. "Why are you being like this, Sehee-ah? I don't like seeing you cry." She sniffed, lifting her face up to look him in the eyes angrily. "What am I supposed to do then when you start talking like this? Why do you have to shake my heart like this?"

Seokjin's features stiffened hearing her say the last. His heart picked up its beat thinking how similar it sounded to one of their songs. Had she found out about him or was it just a coincidence?

Gulping his fear down he cracked a big smile. "You know what we should do? Have lunch. Aigoo, I'm going to die from hunger." That made her laugh and wipe her tears away. Satisfied enough he pulled her out of the temple and towards his car. "Come on, I know a very good place to eat. You'll love it too." Sehee could only shake her head at him behaving like a child.

He took her to a traditional Korean restaurant. It didn't escape her notice that the restaurant owner knew him by his name and provided a very private room to dine in. She suspected he might be a regular here but didn't say anything. She already knew something was troubling him since they left the temple.

As they waited for the food, Sehee took in the surroundings. It wasn't very often that she visited such traditional restaurants and a very expensive looking restaurant at that.

The decor was a throwback to the Joseon era, the various paintings on the walls giving a feeling as if she was in that era. The waitresses in their beautiful hanboks added to the whole environment, bringing a sense of peace within her.

"Do you like it here?" Seokjin asks breaking the tranquil silence. Sehee nods enthusiastically. "I love it. There's just an undeniable allure in such places." He grins, passing her some bulgogi. "Eat this. I'm sure you've never had bulgogi like this before."

She takes a bite and moans at the explosion of flavours in her mouth. "Seokjin, this is really great. How did you come across this place?" "The same way I came across your place." He replied smoothly earning a glare in return.

He laughed. "I'm kidding. Just a company dinner." She nodded, going back to eating in silence, enjoying the delicious food. Yet, both were deep in thought. One, figuring out how to put her thoughts into words and one afraid what she might say.

"Seokjin, I want to tell you something." Sehee said playing with the rice in her bowl. Seokjin sat up straight because of her grave tone. "What is it?"

She licked her suddenly dry lips, taking a deep breath before speaking. "I realised I never told you how my parents died. They....they were murdered. Right infront of my eyes while I hid in the cellar." He was quick to grab her hand and squeeze it comfortingly. "That's not all." Seokjin's eyes widened thinking what more could there be to it.

"The man who killed them, I don't know what his problem is but he's still after me just like he was back then. A year ago I got a letter and it had his name." "What was in that letter?" He asked cautiously just as Sehee looked up.

"He's coming to get his payment."

Sehee's heart threatened to burst out of her chest as Seokjin's hold on her hand loosened. She watched with fear of the unknown as he ran a hand through his hair, his eyes flat, his face hard. She wanted to know what was going through his head. She wondered,

If this is the end of their love story?

A/N:

Sorry for the late update. I was busy due to Diwali preparations and also because I was trying to come up with better words. It's so hard when English isn't your first language. Like there are so many fancy idioms and phrases I'd like to use but I don't know them in English. And before you say Google, no thank you. Google translations are my worst nightmare.

Thank you for reading!!
I hope you like it. 😊😊
