"Where are you going, Zi Tao?" I saw Mama coming down the stairs, I smiled at her, "I have a date with my girlfriend,"

I saw her frown, "No, you're not going to leave this house."

I came closer to her and kissed her cheek, "I'll go ahead, Ma." I turned my back against her but she held my arm, "I said, you're not going to leave this house." She repeated.

I slowly pulled my arm from her, "Ma, my girlfriend's waiting."

"Are you going to choose that girl instead of me?"

I saw this coming. They always told me since I was young that I should marry a Chinese girl, but I didn't know that they'll push that rule until now. That rule was ages ago!

I turned my back once more and started walking away from her. I have to leave now, Crushelle's waiting for me.

I sighed. What should I do? I want to hit my head on the wall. I tried to step forward but Mama spoke again, "Don't test me, Zi Tao."

I looked back at her, "Stop it, Ma!" My hands balled into fists. I don't know why but I am really mad. I just don't get why can't she like Crushelle when she's exactly the best girl in this world. Her eyes went bigger. This is the first time I ever raised my voice at her because I never wanted to disappoint my mom. "Why can't you just accept that she's the one that I love?! Why can't you see the good things in her?!"

"What did that girl teach you? How can you talk back to me now?" She asked, it hurts to see my mom getting teary eyed because I'm hurting her.

"That girl didn't teach me anything except how to love unconditionally!" I just can't keep my mouth shut about this situation. Crushelle has been enduring evety pain I gave her ever since we started this relationship. It's time fir me to fight for us. This is the least thing I can do to make it up. I gritteed my teeth, "That's my point, Ma!" I was breathing heavily, "I cheated so many times, she caught me once but she did nothinh except for accepting me. She was mad but at the end she's still there waiting for me to come back."
