"Riley! Im going out!" I shout.
"Can I come?" he asks.
"Mkay!" I say and my 14 year old brother walks out and smiles happily.
We both walk out and walked towards the forest. The forest is our 'Haven'. We go there to get our minds off of stuff. I found it when I found a warn out trail while jogging.
"Be careful. There are snakes." I say.
"I'm not afraid of snakes." He says confidently. I turn to him.
"There's one behind you." I say and be squeals and jumps behind me. I laugh and he glares at me.
"Not. Funny." He says.
"Yes. Yes, it is." I say and we keep walking.
We reach the Haven and Riley immediately walks over to the small pond.
"Bec, the fish are gone." He says frowning. I walk up to him.
"That's impossible." I say and looked into he pond. He was right. The Japanese fish were gone.
"It's not like they grew legs... right?" he asks.
"Right." I say shocked. I looked around and saw something dark in between the trees. I stare at it and two red eyes popped up.
"Riley. Slowly walk behind me." I say calmly.
"Why?" he asks and I nod towards the two red eyes. His breathing hitched and he listened to me.
We walk away from the two red eyes but then a dark grey and black wolf came out of the darkness.
It had many scars and its fur looked like battered wire.
"Bec." Riley gasps. I see a meter long stick and I pick it up.
"Stay away." I say and the wolf keeps walking towards us.
"Bec. What's gonna happen?" Riley whispers.
"I don't-" suddenly the wolf pounces on me and I scream.
It's claws dug into my shoulder and I scream in pain. I hear Riley scream and the wolf diverts his attention to him. I wince as I see the wolf stalking Riley.
"Run..." I croak and I watch as the wolf jumps onto Riley.
Riley screams as the wolf digs its claw on his arm and then suddenly the wolf collapses.
I see its shoulders slowly moving up and down at its breathing. Then it's stopped raggedly.
And that's when darkness wrapped around me.

"Bec?" asks an echoey voice.
"Becca?" Asks the same voice.
Colorful dots pop onto my vision and my eyes flutter open. I see Riley covered in blood. I immediately scrambled up and faced him.
"Are you okay?" I ask.
"I dunno." he says. I look up and it was a full moon.
"What do you mean you don't know?" I ask him.
Then he shows me his arm and I saw a faint claw mark. I looked at my shoulder and pulled down my pink shirt.
I saw four pale claw marks.
"B-But..." I say.
"Bec, I think I know what's happened." Riley says in disbelief.
"Riley. I know what your thinking and that's impossible." I say sternly.
