Continuation of Flashback (2 years ago):
Ahmed's POV:
All I knew was that I had to stop the wedding somehow. I couldn't let Sairah go through with this-- this mistake.
I wait for a cab when I get a phone call. "H-"
"As-salaamo-alaykum little bro." I hear a familiar voice on the other end of the call.
"Walaikum-as-salaam. How-" I hadn't been able to talk to my brother in a while. He was a little distant lately.... for some reason.
"Wait what! Bro I love you but there's no way in hell I'm going to Boston right now! I-" I couldn't believe he wanted me to see him in Boston right now. "Well yea I know it's not far but I-" I stop myself. "I need to go to LA right now."
I pace around while arguing with my brother. "Fine!" I give in sighing. "I'll meet you in Boston brother," I say half-heartedly. This sabotaged MY sabotage for Sairah's wedding.
"I miss you too." I end the call. Damn it! How could I stop Sairah from making a mistake all the way from Boston?
Sairah's POV:
Was I being petty? Heck yea! Did I care? Heck NO! Well... fine-- maybe a little. But Ahmed started it! If he wasn't being such an utter, useless, jerk maybe I wouldn't have pulled something like that. What can I say? He brings out the worst in me... quite charming-- I know.
I put my phone down after putting on some music when I hear a knock on my door.
"Come in!" I say while brushing my hair.
"Hey beyatch!" Zara walks in flipping her hair.
"Hey psycho who managed to find a man." I say teasingly.
"HEY!" Zara slaps my arm smiling.
"What? Just saying the truth." I shrug innocently.
"Yea well some people don't like the truth okay?"
"You can say that again." I say shaking my head. Ahmed gave me a 'truth'. A truth that made us fall apart. But not fall out of love... at least for me.
"Well anyways," Zara sits on my bed and start throwing my pillow p in the air then catching it repeatedly. "Omar and I are going out on Friday."
"Um what now?" I raise my eyebrow at her. "Alone?"
"Yes of course we're going alone!" Zara squeals sarcastically. "No dumba**, we're bringing someone else with us as a buffer." She smiles at me in an attempt at looking angel-like.
"Oh." I continue to brush my hair. "Well who are you bringing?"
"Guess." Zara flicks her dark brown hair over her shoulder.
"Oh God! PLEASE don't tell me you're bringing Baba!" I put down my comb. "Girl- you finally secured the bag and the man. Don't-- and I mean DON'T ruin it with Baba!" I point a finger at her warningly.
Zara laughs. "Sairah sweetie, I love you, but you do realize I have a brain right." She laughs harder, "there's now way I'd bring Baba of all people."
"Then who are you bringing?" I say with more curiosity. "You can't bring Sameer or Uthman cause they're-- God knows where." I sigh.
"I'm bringing," Zara pretend drums her lap. "Dun dun dun... you!" Zara jumps up and down ecsatically.
