Max's POV

I was just walking around, being the normal wolf hybrid I was. Then I saw someone climbing down a tree.

Not just anyone-That is the only dragon hybrid I've ever seen..she also looked so.. Beautiful. Those green eyes, her short brown hair..her wings and tail just make her stand out more. I-I think I have a crush! I might go over and talk to her..

SNAP!

I realized the branch she was standing on was breaking off, so I did what I thought was best. I raced over and catched her just as she was going to hit the ground.

She had her eyes closed tight, as if waiting for an impact. Then she slowly opened her eyes and looked at me. She began to blush madly.

We kept our gaze until I asked, "You okay?" She waited a bit before responding, "Yea, and thanks for catching me" She paused and I let her down. "Anyways, I'm Eclipse, but you can call me Star." "I'm max," I told her.

I saw her gaze drift to something behind a tree. I turned around and saw something I hoped I would never see on this island..
