Chapter 34 – On The Verge

Omniscient

May 29th 2020 | Los Angeles, CA

Jay walked down the steps of the private jet he rented for the weekend. He was in LA to tie up a few business deals and to also show his face to a few people. Recently he learned that his cars that he owned were auctioned off and there was no evidence of who was behind it but he knew it was none other than a bitter bee.

He knew that placing their home for sale was going to start an even bigger war between the two but he didn't expect her to stoop to his level. She was better than that but he brought out something in her that he now wished he could put back in its cage.

His phone rang and he looked at the caller ID seeing Draco's contact. He answered as we got into the SUV parked waiting for him.

"Got any news for me?" He asked. The driver pulled off once his bags were secured in the vehicle.

"I got a few men on his security team for tonight's show. We're gonna fuck his stage up in a few hours once they finish doing the last run through. This is really gonna fuck with his head." Draco smiled. Jay nodded his head liking the sound of things.

"Make sure y'all don't fuck this shit up. If I see his ass on a stage tonight someone getting fucked up." He hung up and they passed a digital billboard seeing Chris' concert series being advertised. He rolled his eyes turning his gaze to something else.

Chris walked through backstage of the arena to the dressing rooms. He had got Kelly to perform during the intermission and also got Miguel and Tyga to make guest appearances during the show. He wanted to give his fans something they couldn't forget and this was one of the many things he had in stored for them.

He passed a few persons that were a part of the production team making their runs then stopped in front of the door Kelly was behind of. He knocked and waited for the permission to enter.

"C'mon in!" He chuckled hearing her loud voice. He opened the door and walked in.

"Girl you more country than me!" They shared a light laugh. She got up with a beaming smile and grasped him into a tight warm hug. "Boy I ain't see you in a hot minute." She spoke in her ear. They pulled away and sat on the leather couch in the room.

"You just saw me like two weeks ago." He gave her a playful looks then cracked a smile. "You know what the hell I meant." She pushed him and they laughed.

"So what's been going on with you girl?" He asked, getting comfortable on couch. He turned his body to face her as she did the same.

"Well you know I got the voice going on so that has most of my time and Titan is getting big." He smiled wider watched her eyes gleamed.

Chris and Kelly have been friend for over seven years and their friendship has been nothing but love, support and realness. They were always real with each other and always had each other's back. There were times where they had their disagreements but never let it get too far. They had a bond and it was one of a kind.

Chris didn't keep much female friends because they tend to be a lot more to handle than men so he kept them at arm's reach. Most times they were only his friends for the clout or trying to pursue something romantic with him.

"How's my solider? I ain't see him in a long ass time." He ran a hand over his braids. "Well if your ass was living in LA you'd see him more often." She squinted his eyes at him and they both laughed.
